Theater for a New Generation to Present FREEFALL at the Drilling Company, 9/11-28

Theater for a New Generation will present 'Freefall' by the highly celebrated Chicago playwright Charles Smith, directed by Mel Williams, at The Drilling Company Theatre, 238 West 78th Street, September 11 to 28. The play is a drama of two brothers who grew up in inner-city Chicago and have followed divergent paths into adulthood: one as a thief, the other as a policeman.

Two of the most original theatre artists in America, the long-form improvisers TJ & Dave, will be presented at The Town Hall, 123 West 43rd Street, for the first time on Friday October 11 at 8pm. Get ready... the audience may become part of the action as well.

The production will be directed by James Presson (FringeNYC Award Winner for Directing in 2010) and feature Julie Voshell (Movin' Out; Pop), Becca Ballenger (American Stare), Adam Weppler (Waiting for Lefty with Roundabout; Puppet Hamlet), Rachel B. Joyce (Muskego Lake, Desire! A Varsouviana), Brendan McDonough (Three Sisters with The Assembly), and Patrick Dooley (Words, Razors, and the Wounded Heart). Designs will feature sets by Dan Geggatt (Asuncion; Billy Witch), costumes by Jenni Meador, sound by Emily Auciello (The Dance and the Railroad at Signature Center), choreography by Jennifer Delac, and fight design by Cory Asinofsky (Richard 3).

Horse Trade Theater Group (Heidi Grumelot, Artistic Director, Erez Ziv, Executive Director) and Less Than Rent Theatre will present the World Premiere of WORDS, RAZORS, AND THE WOUNDED HEART by James Presson.
