T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre (Terry Schreiber and Peter Jensen, Co-Artistic Directors) announced today that the studio will launch the TSS Young Adult Conservatory for Theatre and Film in January 2013.

The TSS Young Adult Conservatory for Theatre and Film is a two-term Conservatory for the beginning and professional young actor, aged 14 to 17. Creativity, imagination, and instinct along with the foundations of technique will be fostered in a noncompetitive yet rigorous environment. Through exercises and scene work, onstage and in front of the camera, the young actor will develop the craft and art of acting.

The first term begins January 26, 2013 and runs for eight Saturday sessions 10:30 am to 4:00 pm through March 16, 2013 at T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre (151 West 26th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues; Subway 1 to 28th Street or F to 23rd). The second term, which will culminate in a performance and presentation, begins March 23, 2013 and runs through May 18, 2013.

For over 40 years, T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre has been celebrated for providing excellent training by industry professionals in a positive, nurturing environment. Studio alumni include Oscar nominee Edward Norton, Golden Globe nominees Maria Bello and Peter Sarsgaard, Annabella Sciorra, Debra Jo Rupp, Conor Dubin, and Julie Halston.

T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre Artistic Director Terry Schreiber praised the newest offering from the venerable company, "It has been my life's work to train adult actors and help them develop their immense talents in a safe environment, and I look forward to the Studio providing the same excellent program to teen actors."
