The Stolen Chair Theatre Company announces extended performances of The Bachelors' Tea Party, a surreal society comedy performed by two actors and four dolls alongside an exquisite 5-course classic tea service, which has been performing to sold out houses every Sunday afternoon at 5pm at Lady Mendl's Tea Salon (56 Irving Place between 17th and 18th Street) since April.

Twenty-seven plays, hot off their last performances at the New York International Fringe Festival, are ready to be discovered by the rest of the world. Martin Denton, founder and editor of Indie Theater now, with the help of the dedicated team of nytheatre.com reviewers, has curated a grouping of 27 new dramatic works that represent the diversity, vibrancy, invention, energy, and fun that characterized this year's FringeNYC.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) opens its fall season of monthly networking panels with Can the American Theater Afford to Develop New Work? (Can It Afford Not to?), tonight, September 19, 2012 at 7:30pm at The Players Theatre's Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre, 3rd floor, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. Doors open at 7:00pm for networking and refreshments, panel starts promptly at 7:30pm.

APPLE CORE THEATER COMPANY (ACTC) presents its world premiere production of a new satire by Israeli-American playwright, Ken Kaissar: A MODEST SUGGESTION. Directed by Walter J. Hoffman, A MODEST SUGGESTION plays a limited engagement at the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th/10th). Performances begin tonight, May 10 and continue through Sunday, May 27. Opening Night is Tuesday, May 15 (7 p.m.).

National Jewish Theater, Producing Artistic Director Arnold Mittelman, will present a limited Off-Broadway run of The Soap Myth, by Jeff Cohen, from March 23 - April 22 at theBlack Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street, between 6th Avenue and Broadway). Directed by Arnold Mittelman, this production will starGreg Mullavey (television's "Marty Hartman") and features Andi Potamkin, Donald Corren, and Dee Pelletier.

Stolen Chair will pair its 15th original work, The Bachelors' Tea Party, with a classic 5-course tea service. Written by Stolen Chair's resident playwright, Kiran Rikhye, and directed by Jon Stancato, 'one of the most daring and imaginative directors of his generation' (Martin Denton, NYtheatre.com), the play is open to the press on April 15 (5pm). Stolen Chair veteran Liz Eckert (Stage Kiss and Kinderspiel) is joined onstage by Jody Flader (The Vineyard Theater's Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island).
