Established in New York City, United Solo presents a collection of solo plays available in a digital library, Indie Theater Now. The festival is based in Theatre ROW on 42nd Street, and since its inaugural season in 2010 has presented a worldwide selection of solo productions.

Each fall New York audiences may attend shows and experience theatre productions. In the past two seasons the festival has featured performances by Austin Pendleton, Pedro Almodovar, Bill Bowers, Trent Armand Kendall, Marilyn Pittman, Hal Ackerman, Mark Gindick, Nancy Redman, and many others. The presented shows have fallen into a vast range of themes, including racial issues, political matters, and topics related to sexual identity, women's interests and world adventures. "Our collection includes an initial number of plays that will increase as we discover new and impressive solo works in the future" says the artistic director, Omar Sangare.

United Solo dedicates its collection to actors, directors, educators, students, and theater lovers. The plays can be found on Indie Theater Now, run by The New York Theatre Experience, Inc. (NYTE) and curated by Martin Denton. Users may browse and purchase digital versions of plays to read online.

The goals are: convenience and access. Plays are available for only $1.29 each (even less with one of Indie Theater Now's subscription plans).
