On Thursday, January 10, MARTIN TAYLOR and LAURENCE JUBER join forces for a one-of-a-kind musical event! Acoustic Guitar magazine calls Taylor "The Acoustic Guitarist of his generation" and Jazz Times declares he's "Europe's finest guitarist." Juber is a two-time Grammy-winning musician, best known for his role as lead guitarist in Paul McCartney's WINGS. Two talented artists share their talents for this incredible night of music. 7:30 PM. Throughout the season, New York City teens will come together to write, produce, and perform original music with their peers and learn from leading artists through Future Music Project, a vibrant, growing creative community based out of Carnegie Hall's Resnick Education Wing. 2018 - 2019 programming will highlight Carnegie Hall's Migrations: The Making of America festival, with young people reflecting on the impact of migration on their past, present, and future and creating new works responding to those themes. Select songs written by teens will be showcased on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. as part of Soul Mechanisms, a special concert in Zankel Hall led by celebrated performer Toshi Reagon.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub at The Public join forces once again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the tutelage of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, and Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub, the program serves as an incubator for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The program will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 18-30 with Public Readings, free and open to the public, on June 29 and 30. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.

The Public Theater begin previews of Black Light, starring Jomama Jones, the alter ego of Daniel Alexander Jones, on Monday, February 12 in Joe's Pub at The Public. Black Light is a moving, music-laden work - a revival of sorts - for turbulent times. Created by Jones, the show features original music by Jomama, Laura Jean Anderson, Bobby Halvorson, Dylan Meek and Josh Quat with music direction by Samora Abayomi Pinderhughes. Performances begin Monday, February 12 and run through Sunday, March 25, with an official press opening on Sunday, February 25.

Eisemann Center Presents in partnership with UT Dallas: BONE HILL: THE CONCERT by renowned blues and soul singer Martha Redbone on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 7:30 pm. The concert will conclude a week-long residency at the UT Dallas School of Arts & Humanities and will feature student vocalists in a showcase performance prior to the interdisciplinary theater performance by Ms. Redbone and company. BONE HILL: THE CONCERT was written by Martha Redbone, Aaron Whitby and Roberta Uno, who directs the piece, with original compositions by Redbone and Whitby.
