Producers and co-Presidents of the Prom Committee announced today that the National Tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical THE PROM will play the Winspear Opera House from July 26-31.

Strawdog Theatre Company has announced the appointment of Paul Cook as its new Managing Director. Cook has served as Production Manager at Strawdog since 2019 and an ensemble member since 2020. Strawdog also welcomes Donna 'Dante' Gary as its new Production Manager.

Casting has been announced for the upcoming Off-Broadway engagement of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots. Performances will begin on July 26th at Stage 42, with an opening night set for August 25th.

PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL has extended booking at the Savoy Theatre until 28 January 2023. Aimie Atkinson and Danny Mac will extend their runs as Vivian Ward and Edward Lewis respectively.

Ken Martin will join the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, August 1, 2022, as the new Clarence Brown Theatre artistic director and head of the Department of Theatre in the College of Arts and Sciences. Calvin MacLean, former artistic director and head, retired in August 2021.

The Cody Renard Richard Scholarship Program and Broadway Advocacy Coalition organized a weekend in New York for its ten program scholars to encourage them to continue in their work in the theater industry.

Premera Blue Cross Broadway at The Paramount will present PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL to Seattle's Paramount Theatre from June 7 through June 12. 

After celebrating its 25th Anniversary in residence at Theater Wit—a season that featured the world premiere, acclaimed hit Relentless, which went on to an extended run at Goodman Theatre—the company will return to its longtime home in Chicago’s Lakeview East neighborhood, located at 615 W. Wellington Avenue, for three productions.

Skylight Music Theatre announced the full cast for the Wisconsin premiere of Dennis DeYoung’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, running May 20 through June 12, 2022. Performances take place in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.

Leading the tour as Cady Heron will be current Standby for the role, English Bernhardt, current ensemble member, Morgan Ashley Bryant as Karen Smith, Jasmine Rogers as Gretchen Wieners, Lindsay Heather Pearce as Janis Sarkisian, and Adriana Scalice as Standby for Cady, Regina, and Janis. 

The classic comedy Some Like It Hot will begin performances on Broadway this fall! DPAC has announced that beginning today, Monday, April 18 at 9:00 AM a digital rush lottery will take place for PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL coming to DPAC April 19-24, as part of Truist Broadway at DPAC.

Broadway In Detroit announced today that single tickets for the First National Tour of Mean Girls — the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film — will go on sale Friday, April 22.
