The Stella Adler Studio of Acting and Staying Out and Getting Out (GOSO) have announced that students who participate in the GEDPlus program at GOSO's one-room schoolhouse in Harlem have written seven original short plays based on the films and life of Marlon Brando, an alumnus of the studio.

In The Line King's Library: Al Hirschfeld at The New York Public Library, The Library for the Performing Arts presents the largest exhibition of Al Hirschfeld's artwork and archival material from its collection. On display through January 4, 2014, in the Library for the Performing Art's Oenslager Gallery, the free, multimedia exhibition celebrates the Al Hirschfeld Foundation's latest gift of Hirschfeld papers and objects to the Library, and commemorates the 110th anniversary of his birth. Among her friends gathering to celebrate Miss Harris will be Zoe Caldwell, RoseMary Harris, Cherry Jones, HAl Holbrook and Christopher Plummer. The public is welcome.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center announces a new addition to its annual line-up of cultural programs and special events -- The Stanley Kramer Film Festival will debut at Camelot Theatres today, November 15th and run through Sunday, November 17th. The 2013 event, which is designed to coincide with other Stanley Kramer Centennial events taking place this year, will include special screenings of six of Stanley Kramer's best-known films. It will also feature special events, and special appearances with actress Karen Sharpe Kramer, Stanley Kramer's widow, and his daughter, the actress and singer, Katharine 'Kat' Kramer.

Museum of the Moving Image's ongoing series See It Big! presents classic and contemporary films on the big screen in the beautiful Sumner M. Redstone Theater. In November and December, the Museum will showcase 22 films photographed by some of the world's greatest cinematographers, including Gordon Willis, Vittorio Storaro, Vilmos Zsigmond, Nestor Almendros, Raoul Coutard, James Wong Howe, and more. A previously unseen and newly acquired photograph of one of Britain's most important actresses, Vivien Leigh, and her husband Laurence Olivier, taken at the height of their celebrity status will go on display at the National Portrait Gallery tomorrow (Friday 1 November 2013). The photograph will be shown alongside two rarely seen portraits of the couple to mark the start of the Gallery's programme celebrating the centenary of Leigh's birth.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, has announced that Almost, Maine, written by John Cariani and directed by Jack Cummings III, and I Remember Mama, written by John Van Druten and directed by Mr. Cummings, will comprise the company's 2013-14 season. West Palm Beach's only professional multi-award-winning resident theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, will launch Dramalogue --- a new series that explores working in the theatre --- beginning Tuesday, December 10 live onstage at The Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). Produced by Mark Perlberg and Sponsored by Nancy and Jay Parker, this new series will consist of conversations and presentations spotlighting iconic theatre artists and professionals. Presentations will include a range of scene readings, video clips and, where applicable, musical numbers, as well as one-on-one interviews.
