BIG RIVER at Childrens Playhouse Closes on Sunday, May 23

Children's Playhouse of Maryland's final two shows of Big River are Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 at 1pm. The student cast features: Bradley Bowers as Huck, Jeremy Griffith as Jim, Tim Flaharty as Tom Sawyer, Kelsey Lake as Mary Jane, Dan Hasty as the King, and Brandon Montell as the Duke. Two sisters separated by the Holocaust reunite in the aftermath of World War II in Barbara Lebow's powerful and profoundly moving A Shayna Maidel. ICT artistic director Shashin Desai directs Liza de Weerd, Larry Eisenberg, Laura Howard, Charles Pasternak, Julia Silverman and Erin Anne Williams in a four-week run June 11 through July 3 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. No Depression Festival Set for Marymoor Park, 8/20

As part of the 2010 Marymoor Concert Series, Seattle Theatre Group (STG Presents), Live Nation, and The Lakeside Group present the second annual No Depression Festival, sponsored by the pioneering and influential roots-music magazine and website. The festival will take place Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington, just outside Seattle. ERS Benefit Announces $30 Balcony Seats

Elevator Repair Service (ERS) is hosting their spring benefit on Monday, May 3rd, 2010. The company is currently finishing the third play in a trilogy of critically acclaimed plays based on great American novels by William Faulkner, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Ernest Hemingway. This event will celebrate ERS's success with Frances McDormand (Burn after Reading, Fargo), Lili Taylor ('Six Feet Under'), Fred Armisen ('Saturday Night Live'), Frankie Faison ('The Wire'), and ERS company members in a one night only performance of loved, banned and mythologized American fiction. Authors include Edith Wharton, Willa Cather, and Edgar Allan Poe. Readings will be accompanied by ERS's unique signature sound design.

Actor of stage and screen Hal Holbrook has signed on to appear in the upcoming third season of FX's Sons of Anarchy. He will star in a four episode arc as Nate Madock, the father of Gemma Morrow Teller, played by Katey Segal. The season premiere is to take place in September.
