Pleasance Theatre and Southwark Playhouse Present BARETRUTH: THEATRE UNCUT, Beg. Tonight

BAREtruth Theatre premier their first show BAREtruth:Theatre Uncut at The Pleasance Theatre and Southwark Playhouse. With seven brand new short plays, written for Theatre Uncut's newest writing season during November 2013, a yearly event where leading playwrights are asked to write based on some form of political issue and injustice. The question put the the writers this year 'Do we all get more right wing in hard times?'

Theatre Uncut to Return to Playhouse on Park, 11/15-16

This year's one-acts at Playhouse on Park are a part of the new Playhouse on the Edge series, and will include True or False by Davey Anderson, Capitalism is Crisis by Tim Price, The Wing by Clara Brennan, Church Forced to Put Up Gates After Fountain is Used As Wash Basin By Migrants by Mark Thomas, and Recipe by Rachel Chavkin (The Team). THEATRE UNCUT Returns To Young Vic, Nov 19-23, Featuring LaBute

'Do we all get more right wing in hard times?' This is the provocation at the heart of this year's Theatre Uncut as it returns to the Young Vic for the second year running with five brand new plays. The flagship London event will feature a new play from comedian and political activist Mark Thomas, a dark satire from Theatre Uncut regular Neil LaBute, a devised piece by Rachel Chavkin from the TEAM, as well as new plays from rising stars Tim Price, Kieran Hurley and Clara Brennan.

Traverse Theatre Company Presents Occupy-Based DEMOS, April 24

Traverse Theatre Company is set to stage an immersive, live theatre event inspired by the Occupy Movement, DEMOS by Tim Price. Directed by newly appointed Associate Director, Hamish Pirie, this one-off production marks the first Traverse project by the director, who joins the Theatre for a nine-month residency.

In celebration of the upcoming Black History month and in keeping with our traditions of exploring and discovering cultural and personal freedoms and expressions, Hart House is set to host an evening of performance and discussion with the creators of Man 2 Man - a show that has wowed Toronto audiences since its debut in 2010 and continues to generate discussions around racial, cultural and sexual prejudices.

Only Charles Strouse and Mel Brooks can mix Physics and Football and get musical comedy. Their 1961 show All American takes place at a college known more for its football team than its Physics Department but Dean Hawkes-Bullock (Kate Marilley) changes all that by hiring Professor Fodorski (Matt Wilson) from Vienna.
