Monday night, for two astonishing SOLD OUT performances, Joe's Pub became the backdrop for BroadwayWorld.com's 10th Anniversary celebration. The show conceived by Robert Diamond and Richard Jay-Alexander boasted talent from Broadway and beyond.

It's a New Year's tradition that doesn't get old. For the third year in a row Marilyn Maye brings back her exciting 'By Request' format for a week of raucous revelry after ringing out 2013 with back-to-back shows on New Year's Eve. Maye's remarkable performances will be accompanied by pianist/conductor Billy Stritch, bassist Tom Hubbard, and drummer Ray Marchica. The party doesn't stop until Sunday January 12. Karen Wyman, who was a national sensation for a short time in the late '60s and early '70s before disappearing unexpectedly from the scene, has re-entered the earth's atmosphere. The rocket-voiced phenom, who electrified a packed Metropolitan Room just returned with her new show, 'The Second Time Around.' Check out photos from the concert below!

Lee Roy Reams = Broadway. It's really that simple. Or as Phil Geoffrey Bond, from 54 Below, likes to call this show: BROADWAY 101, and I would Certainly concur. If you have nothing to do tonight, get yourself to the Hottest venue in town, where Sunday Nights have become a "hot ticket" To see some some of the best talent around, doing all sorts of shows.

Last night, Casey Nicholaw and Josh Marquette hosted a cocktail event to benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation at One Museum Mile (1280 Fifth Avenue). Attendees included Broadway luminaries Jeff Blumenkrantz, Danny Burstein, Carolee Carmello, Jeanine Tesori and Michael James Scott, and stars of HGTV's Selling New York Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon. The event raised over $7,500 for the Matthew Shepard Foundation.

On Monday, September 9, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented the return of Steven Brinberg as Simply Barbra in 'Mostly Marvin,' with very special guest star, Erik Altemus. Musical director for the event was Christopher Denny. Scroll down for photos from the evening!

Williamstown Theatre Festival just opened the sixth production of the 2013 Main Stage season: The World Premiere musical, The Bridges of Madison County, on the Main Stage. Playing through August 18, the show began preview performances on August 1. BroadwayWorld was there for opening night and you can check out photos from the after party below!

The stars came out on Wednesday, July 17 to see MIMI HINES as she celebrated her 80th birthday with a special, one-night-only concert at Broadway's nightclub, 54 Below. Among those in attendance were 'Late Show with David Letterman' bandleader PAUL SHAFFER, from TV's 'The Nanny' and 'Happily Divorced' start FRAN DRESCHER, and Broadway favorite LEE ROY REAMS (The Producers, 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast) and Tony Award winners DONNA McKECHNIE (A Chorus Line, Company) , FAITH PRINCE (Annie, Guys and Dolls) and LILIANE MONTEVECCHI (Nine). On Saturday, June 1Tony Award-winner Tommy Tune took the stage at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) to offer 'Steps in Time' - A Broadway Biography in Song & Dance, highlighting his nearly 50-year career as an actor, dancer, singer, theatre director, producer, and choreographer. On Friday evening, May 24, Playbill's Blake Ross and BroadwayWorld.com's Rob and Jennifer Diamond co-hosted the only birthday party that took two editors of two major theatre web sites to plan ... Director/Producer Richard Jay-Alexander's 60th Birthday Bash! The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel welcomes the Grammy Award-winning vocalist Debby Boone for her debut at the Cafe Carlyle with her new program 'Swing This'. Ms. Boone opened at the Cafe Carlyle last night and will play through March 30th, where she will be joined by her music director, John Oddo, and a nine piece band for what she has described as, 'The party I've been waiting my whole life to throw!' 'Marilyn By Request,' in which Maye and her Billy Stritch-led band will create a new show based on audience requests, marks her return to her downtown stomping ground. The Broadway at Birdland concert series debuted a new concept called "Portrait of an Artist," featuring actor/director/painter Steve Bakunas. The multi-talented artist conducted an intimate interview with actress Linda Lavin, while painting her portrait on the historic Birdland stage. For anyone in the business who knows Mark D. Sendroff, of N.Y. entertainment law firm Sendroff/Baruch, is to know just how much he is admired by his clients, who somehow also happen to become his very good friends. It's a testament of time and to Sendroff, himself, who still very much loves what he does every day and can usually be found at theaters, nightclubs, workshops, etc. (from coast to coast and across the Atlantic) at some time, pretty much every day. There's barely a show or project that doesn't always have at least one Sendroff client attached to it.

The Holiday Season at Birdland has been crammed with a wide array of talent from the Broadway and jazz communities, as evidenced by these snapshots.

The ASCAP Foundation honored composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz for his lifetime contributions to the Musical Theater with The ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers Award. On hand to make the presentation was Richard Rodgers' grandson and fellow musical theater composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza). The accolade was presented today during the Foundation's 16th Annual Awards Ceremony, held at the Allen Room, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, in New York City. The invitation-only event, hosted by ASCAP Foundation President Paul Williams, also honored a wide variety of Scholarship and Award recipients, all of whom benefit from programs of The ASCAP Foundation.
