My first introduction to Mark Fisher Fitness was this photo. A friend and colleague had just completed a several month stretch of fitness training with the muscle toning guru and posted this shot on Facebook. It is the photo I at least have always wanted; my regular, normal-looking self transformed into a perfectly healthy, perfectly sculpted version of model proportions, only this wasn't Photoshopped.

Amas Musical Theatre will present free staged readings of NELLIE BEEZER'S MELTING POT FOLLIES OF 1922, a new musical written by Phillip George and Kathy Griffith, with additional material by Gerard Alessandrini and David Caldwell. The readings, also directed by Phillip George, will take place on Monday, October 11th at 6:00pm, and Tuesday, October 12th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm, at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue (10th Floor).

This year, The Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award goes to OVID'S METAMORPHOSES, adapted and directed by Peter Bramley with original music by Lucy Egger. The production is from the acclaimed London-based company Pants On Fire. The Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation will present the winning production at the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning The Flea Theater in January 2011.
