New York City Opera will present The Barber of Seville on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 7pm as part of Bryant Park's Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. The one-night-only performance will be fully staged, costumed, and accompanied by live music.

Second City and SNL alum Jerry Minor returns to Chicago to direct his first resident stage production with an ensemble that includes e.t.c. stage vets Alex Bellisle, Mark Campbell, Terrence Carey, and Laurel Krabacher, Mainstage alum Jordan Savusa, and former Second City Touring Company member Claudia Martinez.

On Saturday night, Version 2.0 of the Mason Bates-Mark Campbell opera, THE (R)EVOLUTION OF STEVE JOBS, opened brilliantly as a mainstage production of the Atlanta Opera, in its East Coast premiere, under Tomer Zvulun’s taut direction and Michael Christie’s smart baton. To say the audience greeted the work joyfully would be an understatement.

The Atlanta Opera is presenting the Southeast premiere of The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, the opera that won Mason Bates and Mark Campbell a 2019 Grammy Award, in a new production from General & Artistic Director Tomer Zvulun. The opera runs through May 8.
