Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market presents the World Premiere Family Musical Ps and Qs: the ABCs of Manners July 5 - August 9, 2009 'I've wanted to do a piece about the importance of manners for years, but we couldn't find the right approach,' says Main Street Theater Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden.

Main Street Theater will open its 2009-2010 MainStage season with the English-language premiere of a new adaptation of Isabel Allende's best-selling novel, The House of the Spirits, on September 10, 2009 and running through October 11.

P?s and Q?s: the ABC?s of Manners, a world premiere with Book by Steven Garfinkel and Music and Lyrics by Trout Fishing in America (Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet) will run at Main Street Theatre (Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd., Houston, Texas 77006) from July 5 - August 9, 2009. It is directed by Mark Adams.

Sideways Stories from Wayside School April 18 - May 16, 2009- Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market 'I love this story!' says Theater for Youth Producing Director Vivienne M. St. John. 'It was one of my favorites as a child and still is!' Based on Louis Sachar's Wayside School novels, Sideways Stories from Wayside Schools is a truly magical world where anything can - and does! - happen.

Based upon the book by Louis Sachar, Sideways Stories from Wayside School was adapted by the stage by John Olive and is directed by Mark Adams. The show will be performed at the Main Street Theater (Chelsea Market) on Sautrdays April 18 &25 and May 2 & 16 at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The show is recommended for Kindergarten-aged kids and up.
