Custom Made Theatre Company opens 2017 with the Bay Area Premiere of Belleville, by Pulitzer Prize finalist Amy Herzog.  The thriller is directed by M. Graham Smith.  It runs January 4-28 at Custom Made Theatre, 533 Sutter Street in San Francisco.

Just last night, Sarah Ruhl was honored with the 2016 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award  at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. The evening featured performances of Ruhl's work by Blair Brown, Kathleen Chalfant, Maria Dizzia, Jessica Hecht, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Polly Noonan and Joseph J. Parks. Theatre luminaries will gather on Monday, November 14, 2016, to honor award-winning playwright Sarah Ruhl with the 2016 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award, presented by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust.

The Freeman Studio, the Tribeca-based acting studio led by Scott Freeman, is offering three exciting master classes through October with three distinguished theatre luminaries.  These classes are open to non-Freeman Studio students.
