BEAT BUGS JV Announced at Theatre School at North Coast Rep

The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep presents the musical adventure Beat Bugs JV as its next student production. Beat Bugs JV, a new musical adaptation based on the NETFLIX animated series, inspired by music made famous by The Beatles, centers around five pals who explore the world and learn life lessons. Follow Walter, Buzz, Jay, Crick, and Kumi as they go on a mission to save Strawberry Fields! The show incorporates numerous songs from the iconic catalogue including 'All You Need Is Love', 'Come Together', 'We Can Work It Out', 'Yellow Submarine', 'Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds', 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band', 'In My Life', 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'Magical Mystery Tour'.

NHTP's 4th Annual Storytelling Festival Opens with Native American Tales

The first weekend of New Hampshire Theatre Project's (NHTP) 4th Annual Storytelling Festival features performances and workshops celebrating the coming spring with stories from the natural world and traditional Native American tales. On Friday evening, March 6, Featured Artist Diane Edgecomb begins her 3-week workshop a?oeThe Golden Thread: Finding Meaning in Traditional Talesa?? which focuses on Voice, Movement, Characterization and Narration techniques, and is open to both experienced and novice storytellers.

The Joffrey Ballet Has Announced Their 2020-2021 Season

Ashley Wheater MBE, The Mary B. Galvin Artistic Director of The Joffrey Ballet, has announced the Company's 2020-2021 inaugural season at Lyric Opera House, featuring a ballet masterpiece from legendary choreographer Sir Kenneth MacMillan, a world premiere from choreographer Cathy Marston, a Joffrey debut from George Balanchine, a Chicago premiere from Hamburg Ballet Chief Choreographer John Neumeier, and the fifth anniversary of Christopher Wheeldon's holiday classic The Nutcracker. The Joffrey Ballet begins its 65th season with MacMillan's iconic Manon, October 14-25, 2020, followed by Wheeldon's magical production of The Nutcracker, December 5-27, 2020. For its winter engagement, the Joffrey presents a mixed program that includes the world premiere adaptation of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men by Marston and the Joffrey premiere of Serenade by Balanchine, February 17-28, 2021. Closing the season is the Chicago premiere of Neumeier's acclaimed The Little Mermaid, April 21- May 2, 2021.

By 1939. the Depression had begun to wane, but Dorothy still took a road trip to Oz to find out that there's no place like home. John Steinbeck published The Grapes of Wrath that year; the Joad family also had to leave their Oklahoma home and hit the road because the Dust Bowl was no Miss Gulch nor a dream they'd wake up from. Steinbeck called the road they took, Route 66, the Mother Road which has given Octavio Solis his title for Arena's current production through March 8.

The Dryden Ensemble presents Bach's St. John Passion as the crowning event in their 25th Anniversary Season. There will be three performances: Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14, both at 7:30 p.m. at All Saints' Church, 16 All Saints' Road in Princeton, New Jersey and Sunday, March 15 at 3:00 p.m.at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, Pennsylvania. General admission tickets are $40-45 per concert and student tickets are $10 with a valid ID. Tickets may be purchased online at drydenensemble.org or at the door.

Samantha Womack Joins Tom Chambers in UK Tour Of DIAL M FOR MURDER

A brand new production of the classic thriller, Dial M for Murder, tours the UK in 2020, having opened at Richmond Theatre on January 14th 2020. The genre-defining thriller - based on Frederick Knott's stage and screen play, made world-famous by Hitchcock's iconic 1954 film is directed by Anthony Banks. Samantha Womack takes over the role of Margot from Sally Bretton from the 14th April, in Milton Keynes where she tours with the company to Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Mold, Brighton, Shrewsbury and Salford. Her run concludes in Northampton on June 27th.

Known for his starring role on television in Nurse Jackie opposite Edie Falco and his starring role on Broadway in Wait Until Dark- Dominic was a perfect fit on the Notre Dame campus because he began his college career a football player but acting quickly became his passion . In a theater filled with Notre Dame students Ilana and Dominic talked about falling in love with theater (and each other), auditions, how sports and acting go together and some other inspiring little known facts along the way.
