There is a kind of magic which will exorcise the problems of Blithe Spirit, and let us not notice them: This production cruises and coasts on the farcical elements and the bickering and the eccentricities of Mme. Arcati the medium, and in so doing it certainly keeps the audience laughing. But it does not dispel the sour taste lingering at the end.

Written by award-winning writer Philip Meeks, the play is a one-woman show performed by Janet Prince, who has received universal acclaim for her interpretation of British acting legend Margaret Rutherford. It is helmed by British crime novelist and director Stella Duffy.

Greenwich Theatre, one of London's foremost Off-West End theatres has over the past 5 years become one of the country's leading supporters of young and emerging theatre companies. With its Edinburgh profile rising year on year, five productions are supported at this year's festival across the Pleasance, C venues and Assembly.

Gilded Balloon Productions present the London West End transfer of MURDER, MARPLE AND ME by Philip Meeks, directed by Stella Duffy. Starring Janet Prince, the show features set design by Cherry Truluck, sound design by Martyn Duffy and lighting design by Martin McLaughlin. It will play a strictly limited season - four performances only - at the Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London WC2H 9ND. Dates are 11 & 12 June and 18 & 19 June at 7.30pm.
