Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company of Ann, Emmy Award-winning actress Holland Taylor's (The Practice, Two and a Half Men) intimate, hilarious production based on the colorful and complex life of former Texas Governor Ann Richards.

Theater J, the nation's largest and most prominent Jewish theater, continues its signature Yiddish Theater Lab with readings of two plays in May. The plays are The Rented Bridegroom by Rinne Groff (adapted from a play by Osip Dymov) on May 6 at Foundry Church and Yankl the Blacksmith by David Pinski on May 20 at the Goethe-Institut. These readings follow the first full production of the Yiddish Theater Lab,

Manhattan Theatre Club will present its annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 13 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's event will honor Serino Coyne Founder and Chairman Nancy Coyne for being a tireless advocate for the arts.

The top growing current Broadway musicals were Oklahoma! (16.10%), Hadestown (8.86%), Tootsie The Musical (5.39%), Ain't Too Proud (4.06%) and BeetleJuice (3.53%). The top growing current Broadway plays were Hillary and Clinton (10.97%), Burn This (9.37%), King Lear (7.95%), What The Constitution Means to Me (6.89%) and Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus (4.51%).

Collaborative Artists Ensemble will open its 12th Season by revisiting the company's inaugural production of John Olive's psychological drama Standing On My Knees.

Studio Theatre concludes its 40th Anniversary Season Main Series productions with the DC premiere of playwright Lucy Kirkwood's urgent and unsettling eco-thriller The Children, directed by Studio Artistic Director David Muse. Inspired in part by the 2011 Fukushima nuclear explosion in Japan, Kirkwood's disaster drama begins as an old love triangle flaring to life in the aftermath of a natural disaster and morphs into a disquieting look at the cataclysmic impact of human intervention in the natural world. The Children deepens Muse's relationship with Kirkwood's work he directed the US premiere of her Olivier Award-winning epic play Chimerica in 2015.

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) announced today additional casting for the 2019 summer season, including Ellen Barkin, Andre Braugher, Priscilla Lopez, Thomas Sadoski, Bernard White, JoBeth Williams, and many more. The 2019 season kicks off June 25, 2019 and runs through August 18, 2019.

Playwright Eleanor Burgess' latest work THE NICETIES receives its west coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse beginning April 9, 2019. THE NICETIES charts the escalating series of calm-to-volatile discourses between a university college professor and her brilliant student on history, race and reputation. Eleanor, a Huntington Playwright Fellow, carved out some time to answer a few of my inquisitive inquiries on her writing processes, while touching on some of her professional milestones.

Deadline reports that Madeleine Arthur will reprise her role as Christine in Netflix's All The Boys I've Loved Before sequel, which has also added Emmy winner Holland Taylor and Sarayu Blue. Stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo will also return; so will Anna Cathcart, Janel Parrish, and John Corbett, along with previously announced newcomers Jordan Fisher and Ross Butler.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories - and bestowed one special award - for the 34th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts, beginning at 7:00pm EST. The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation. Additional support is provided by TDF. Beloved and celebrated entertainer, Wayne Brady, will emcee the ceremony.

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) and Radio Drama Network (Melina Brown, President) today announced the cast for the World Premiere of Then They Forgot About the Rest, a new play by Georgina Escobar, directed by David Mendizabal. Performances will begin April 13th for a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 12th. Opening Night is set for April 22nd.

Skylight Theatre Company (Producing Artistic Director, Gary Grossman and Co-Artistic Director Tony Abatemarco) announced today the world premiere of BRONCO BILLY - THE MUSICAL, It marks the organization's first world premiere musical production. The new musical, based on the Warner Bros. film Bronco Billy, features a book by Dennis Hackin, lyrics and music by Chip Rosenbloom and John Torres, with additional lyrics by Michele Brourman.
