Spelling Bee), and John Kuether (Phantom of the Opera) are scheduled to join previously announced artists Shuler Hensley (Young Frankenstein, Oklahoma), Malcolm Gets, (The Story of My Life, Amour), director Francesca Zambello (The Little Mermaid, Little House on the Prairie), Lisa Brescia (Wicked, Aida, The Lion King's Nathaniel Stampley, and Billy Elliot's Joel Hatch and a star-studded cast of over 25 Broadway and off-Broadway performers in The Sky is Not Falling, a benefit concert for Milwaukee's Skylight Opera Theatre.

Producers Angelo Fraboni and Daryl Roth have announced that the New York premiere of Vigil, written by Morris Panych and directed by Stephen DiMenna, will begin performances Sunday, September 20, at 3pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15 Street, east of Union Square. The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29 at 7pm.

The New York Times is reporting that Malcolm Gets and Helen Stenborg will star in the dark comedy Vigil at the DR 2 Theatre, September 20th through November 22nd.

The cast has been announced for the upcoming reading of Garbo and Me at the York Theatre on September 17, 2009. The new musical, with book and lyrics by Joanne Sydney Lessner (Fermat?s Last Tango) and music and lyrics by Joshua Rosenblum (Bush Is Bad), is directed by Andy Sandberg (Tony Award winning Producer of Hair).

Coyote REP proudly announces their next project, currently in development; a play about a young breast cancer survivor and the particular challenges she faces in light of her age, raising her young child, and the severity of this disease. This event will raise funds for Coyote REP to develop this piece and to raise awareness for the Young Survivors Coalition.

Debbie Reynolds, the beloved, iconic and award-winning actress, has brought her smash one-woman show, 'Debbie Reynolds: An Evening of Music and Comedy,' to New York's legendary Café Carlyle for a special four-week engagement which began Tuesday, June 2nd and is playing through Saturday, June 27th.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present a workshop of the Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander, book and lyrics by Adam Mathias, June 6 - 13 at The New 42nd Street Studios. The workshop, which is directed by Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III, is being presented for an invited audience.

Chance and Chemistry: A Centennial Celebration of Frank Loesser, a concert to benefit The Actors Fund will take place at a Broadway theatre to be announced on Monday, October 26, 2009. The event will be co-chaired by Jo Sullivan Loesser and Sir Paul McCartney.
