Following five seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE-New York's only festival of contemporary solo piano music-is back with 10 'front-rank soloists' (The New Yorker) who will perform 27 classical and jazz-inspired works by an aesthetically diverse group of modern masters and emerging composers over the course of three evenings.
Violinist Jennifer Koh, cellist Anssi Karttunen, and pianist/composer Magnus Lindberg will give a free performance on Tuesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. at the Baryshnikov Arts Center's Howard Gilman Performance Space.
Violinist Itzhak Perlman will perform music from Vienna and Hollywood with the New York Philharmonic on Monday, April 11, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert. The program replaces the previously announced Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario, narrated by Christopher Plummer. Mr. Plummer has had to reschedule his appearance with the Orchestra due to the extended filming of Barrymore; a new concert date will be announced at a later time.
