Netflix and Shondaland have just released the first trailer for Black Barbie, the upcoming documentary that tells the story of how the first Black Barbie came to be in 1980. The Dance Theater of Harlem community is mourning the death of the much beloved SHIRLEY HARRIET MITCHELL-MILLS, the sister of Arthur Mitchell, founder and artistic director emeritus of Dance Theater of Harlem--a leading dance institution of global acclaim. Ms. Harriet died on August 26, 2014. She was 73 years old.
