British Museum Announces New Exhibition Edvard Munch: Love And Angst

This April, the British Museum will present a major new exhibition on the work of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch (1863-1944). Edvard Munch: love and angst will focus on Munch's remarkable and experimental prints an art form which made his name and at which he excelled throughout his life and will examine his unparalleled ability to depict raw human emotion. It will be the largest exhibition of Munch's prints in the UK for 45 years.

John Minnock Brings His RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER Release Show to Feinstein's/54 Below

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents fan-favorite vocalist John Minnock! For his Feinstein's/54 Below debut, the new-breed vocalist will celebrate the release of his new album Right Around The Corner. On his newest project, John presents jazz, blues and cabaret classics in a way that has never been heard before with the help of special guest, National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Dave Liebman on saxophone. John's experiences as an openly gay man gives way to a unique perspective that is at once eye-opening, touching and down right fun. Supported by a stellar rhythm section including pianist/arranger Enrique Hanenine (whose latest album The Mind's Mural hit #1 on the NACC Radio Chart) bassist Carlos Mena and drummer Pablo Eluchans, John's new 'gay-ahead jazz album' is a groundbreaker as it explores LGBTQ subject-matter in a jazz setting.

Drums Of Illumination Winter Solstice Peace Concert Announced At TNC, Today

Alessandra Belloni, Artistic Director, has gathered a remarkable group of vocalists/dancers/percussionists for a new version of 'Drums of Illuminiation,' a joyous uniting of three great cultures: the powerful Native American, the fiery African, and the passionate Southern Italian, for a journey back in time into a world of ritual drumming, vocals, and trance dances.  Special guests are Murielle Borst, Josephine Tarrant and Kevin Tarrant of the SilverCloud Singers and Dancers (Native American) and Kevin Nathaniel (African percussion). 

Brynn Cartelli Premieres LAST NIGHT'S MASCARA

Following a show-stopping performance on last night's season finale of NBC's The Voice (watch here), singer-songwriter Brynn Cartelli has released her new song “Last Night's Mascara” – available now via all DSPs (stream here). The self-penned track sees her collaborating with Jesse Shatkin (Kelly Clarkson, Sia) and Mozella (Madonna, Miley Cyrus) for a brilliantly candid anthem. “I'm so excited about releasing 'Last Night's Mascara' because it showcases my love for storytelling in a real, stripped down, raw way” said Cartelli.

Co-artistic directors George Mann and Nir Paldi are a real-life couple trying to answer a question many of us face. As they stage their discussions around if, when and how to have children, every consideration - adoption, surrogacy, co-parenting, the environmental impact of childbirth - brings with it a succession of ethical challenges. All set to a lively Madonna soundtrack, the couple veer between memories of their past and visions of their future as they consider who their child might become and how their own childhoods will affect their parenting. This energetic and provoking piece of physical theatre comes to Battersea Arts Centre and tours the UK fresh from its hit run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Dancer/choreographer Deborah Zall, a well known dramatic dancer and choreographer trained at the Martha Graham School passed away of pneumonia on December 11th in New York City.

A COMEDY OF TENORS Continues Walnut Street Theatre Season

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 210th season with the uproarious Ken Ludwig's A COMEDY OF TENORS. Directed by and starring Frank Ferrante, this over-top-top comedy from Tony Winner Ken Ludwig begins previews on January 15th, opens on January 23rd, and runs through March 3rd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

FORREST GUMP'S Joel Sill to Receive Legacy Award at The Guild of Music Supervisors Awards

The Guild of Music Supervisors announced today that industry legend Joel Sill will receive the organization's prestigious Legacy Award for his creative contribution to music in film. Sill's body of work includes Forrest Gump, The Goonies, Blade Runner, The Color Purple, and My Cousin Vinny. Sill will be joined by Spotify's RISE artist, King Princess, who will be performing as this year's Spotlight Artist. The 9th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards will be held on February 13 at The Theater at The Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The event will celebrate the highest achievements in music supervision, recognizing exemplary work in 18 categories representing movies, television, games, advertising and trailers.

The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards to Air on FOX

Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) and iHeartMedia announced today that the fan-driven 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live Thursday, March 14, 2019(8:00-10:00 PM ET live /PT tape-delayed) on FOX, from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The event will once again broadcast live simultaneously on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music, podcast, on demand and live streaming radio service.

Sydney Opera House Presents HEAR ME ROAR

The Sydney Opera House today announced a sensational new music event that will bring together some of the greatest songs ever written by women, performed by some of Australia's leading female artists.
