In early 2019, Kaufman Music Center will launch a new classical concert series at Merkin Hall, 'Only at Merkin with Terrance McKnight.' Hosted by WQXR's Terrance McKnight and showcasing some of the classical world's most acclaimed and celebrated artists, these evenings of insightful conversation and virtuosic performances will enlighten and inspire, deepening the audience's understanding and appreciation of the music, the composers, and the artists' creative process.

Carnegie Hall today announced that street dance pioneer Drew Dollaz will join longtime collaborators spoken word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph and composer/violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain as they reunite for the world premiere of The Just and the Blind, a pressing and poignant new work commissioned by Carnegie Hall that explores fatherhood, racial profiling, and the justice system, in Zankel Hall on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. The performance will be followed by a post-concert discussion with the artists, hosted by Justus Jones of the Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network (AIYN).

The Puerto Rico-born, Bronx-bred choreographer and performer Marlyn Ortiz, along with choreographer Emmanuel E. Hernandez, directs an all-female cast of New York's hottest dancers, aerialists and comediennes in a show that sets traditional and neo-burlesque elements to Latin rhythms.
