Vineyard Theatre’s 2021 Gala Series will culminate in an intimate conversation between legendary musical theatre composers John Kander and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Brandon Victor Dixon and Heidi Blickenstaff will join previously announced artists  including Mandy Gonzalez, Bryonha Marie Parham, and George Salazar.

What do you get when you combine the pianistic finesse of Michael Feinstein, the smooth phrasing of Tony Bennett, and the bawdy wit of Bette Midler? You get Michael McAssey, who for 40 years has reigned as the clown prince of New York cabaret, and has enchanted as one of its most talented troubadours. He calls what he does 'schtick.' But that's undervaluing his unique blend of beautiful ballad singing and standup, or rather 'sit down' comedy.

Ballet Sun Valley announced today additional program details for its in-person, outdoor performances at the iconic, open-air Sun Valley Pavilion, July 12 & 13 and August 22 & 23.

A juke box collection of hits from the 60’s where pleasant memories were evocative from that less provocative era. The production was curated such that only ‘girl groups’ or female solo artists were featured. An ensemble of singers and dancers carefully cast by Director/Choreographer Jody Anderson.

It’s summer, theatres are reopening, and Solea Pfeiffer is coming back to The Old Globe on June 19th and 20th to kick off their cabaret series, what more do you need to kickstart a great theatre season?  When asked about the cabaret Solea said, “To be totally honest with you, this cabaret is just about joy.”
