The suspenseful feature documentary 'LOVE & BANANAS: An Elephant Story' will have its Global iTunes Exclusive Pre-release screening Today July 18th at the Real D Theater, 100 N. Crescent, Beverly Hills. The film will kick off the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World and will roll out a series of films that highlight heroic women.

Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach will be performed by Northern Stage Summer Musical Theater Intensive students at the Barrette Center for the Arts in White River Junction, VT, July 25-29.

Today, SHOWTIME was recognized with 21 Primetime Emmy Award nominations,including the network's first limited series nomination for PATRICK MELROSE, THE FOURTH ESTATE for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series and four actor nominations for PATRICK MELROSE's Benedict Cumberbatch,SHAMELESS' William H. Macy, and HOMELAND's Mandy Patinkin and F. Murray Abraham. SHOWTIME was also honored in the writing and directing categories for TWIN PEAKS and PATRICK MELROSE. Overall, SHOWTIME received nine nominations for TWIN PEAKS, five for PATRICK MELROSE, three for HOMELAND and two for SHAMELESS.

It is plain that Della's resolution of the issue whether to bake a cake for Jen's same-sex wedding will call for a gingerly reassessment of her faith and her life. Realistically, it will not be solved wholesale by Della's discarding of her allegiance to what Macy dismisses as 'a book that's thousands of years old.' If Della is to find a way, it will require more subtlety and compromise.

Melissa Li's and Kit Yan's new musical Interstate, has been extended due to popular demand. Interstate, which opens the 2018 New York Musical Festival tonight at Theatre Row, will play to a sold-out house. An additional performance, has been added on Sunday, July 15 at 5:00 pm.

New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) is pleased to announce Resistance is Futile, our 10th Annual Women's Work Short Play Festival, running Monday, August 6 to Saturday, August 11, 2018. The Festival performs in two programs on an alternating schedule of 4:00pm and 8:00pm, with a combined program on August 11th at 2pm and 5pm. Interstate, a new musical created by Melissa Li and Kit Yan, has been selected as one of 12 productions to take part in the 2018 New York Musical Festival Next Link Project. The workshop production will open the festival and features a diverse mix of talent while showcasing the journey of two Asian transgender artists. Interstate is directed by Jessi D. Hill, choreographed by Jessica Chen, with music direction by Karen Dryer.
