Bekah Brunstetter's THE CAKE will once again be served on a Los Angeles stage. Helmed by its original world premiere director Jennifer Chambers, THE CAKE has already begun previews, with opening night September 20, 2018 at the Geffen Theatre. A topic still making headlines, a baker's refusal to bake a cake gets uncomfortably personal when the cake's for family. We had the chance to chat with Jennifer on the secret ingredients of Bekah's simply delicious concoction.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS), today announced it has received the largest individual gift in its 48-year history from Ann S. Bowers of Palo Alto, California. Given specifically to secure the future of the vibrant CMS Two residency program which is dedicated to developing the next generation of outstanding young musicians, the five-million dollar gift enables broader and deeper experiences for every artist in the program. In recognition of her gift, CMS Two will be renamed The Bowers Program, beginning with the 2018-2019 season, which opens October 16.

The smash hit, musical comedy Be More Chill closes its sold-out Off-Broadway run on Sept. 30 and opens Sinclair Theatre's season October 5-13 in Blair Hall,building 2 of the downtown Dayton campus! Then, the off-Broadway production heads to a recently-announced BROADWAY opening in February 2019!  

Curve and Jamie Wilson have revealed the full casting for the upcoming festive Made at Curve production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas.

With Spamilton: An American Parody currently running at the theatre, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces full casting for their major revival of Hugh Whitemore's Pack of Lies. Hannah Chissick directs Jasper Britton as (Stewart), Sia Dauda (Sally), Alasdair Harvey (Peter Kroger), Chris Larkin (Bob Jackson), Macy Nyman (Julie Jackson), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Helen Kroger), Natalie Walter (Thelma) and Finty Williams (Barbara Jackson). The production opens on 1 October, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 17 November.

Los Angeles-based electro-folk duo PublicART will release their new EP Modernika on September 21st. The record was produced and mixed by the band's multi-instrumentalist Jan Ozveren, co-produced by singer Stevvi Alexander, with all songs co-written by both. Mastering was performed by multi-award winner Reuben Cohen (Iggy Pop, Pharrell Williams, Interpol). Modernika is available for pre-order now from iTunes.

The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) and Palm Canyon Theatre (PCT) join theatrical forces on Sunday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. as they bring an enchanted evening of 'The Best Of Rodgers And Hammerstein' to the desert to benefit both organizations. This cast for includes two-time Emmy® nominated actress and singer Bobbie Eakes along with the vocal talents of desert favorites Theresa Jewett, Charles Herrera, and Keisha D, who will perform numbers written and composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Members of the Palm Canyon Theatre Company will sing selections from Oklahoma!  the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus will present  'There is Nothing Like a Dame' from South Pacific, 'We Kiss in a Shadow' from The King and I and 'Boys and Girls Like You and Me' from State Fair.  The concert will be followed by a reception under the stars.

Husband-and-wife duo John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey make their annual fall pilgrimage to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, American Stories, November 6-17. The New York Times recently described John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey as "the supreme nightclub act of our time." A world-renowned guitarist and singer, John Pizzarelli has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years and has established himself as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook. Waitress is serving up another fresh face at the diner! Beloved TODAY show weather anchor Al Roker will make his Broadway debut as "Joe" from October 5-November 11.
