Manhattan Theatre Source to Host 15th Annual EstroGenius Festival, 10/2-11/1

Manhattan Theatre Source will present the 15th Annual EstroGenius Festival, a multimedia performance festival showcasing female voices from a variety of disciplines, October 2-November 1 at Stage Left Studios (214 West 30th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue) and the 4th Street Theatre (83 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). The festival will feature short plays, one-woman shows, dance pieces, a visual art exhibit, and special performances by Girl Be Heard, a teen program that uses theater as a vehicle to empower young women to become brave, confident, socially conscious leaders while exploring their own challenging circumstances. The 2014 EstroGenius artists will be announced in August.

The Blood Brothers Present BEDLAM NIGHTMARES PART THREE: LOSING PATIENTS at Brick Theatre, 7/31 - 8/2

The Blood Brothers Present . . . Bedlam Nightmares is a bi-monthly late night series at The Brick Theater in Brooklyn. Each installment features new horror stories hosted by the eponymous Blood Brothers. The second installment in this series is Shock Treatments, and features short plays written by Nat Cassidy (Old Familiar Faces, I Am Providence), Mariah MacCarthy (Mrs. Mayfield's Fifth-Grade Class of '93 20-Year Reunion, The All-American Genderf*ck Cabaret) and Mac Rogers (Frankenstein Upstairs, The Honeycomb Trilogy), that explore the deepest recesses of a human monster's mind.

Joel Rooks, Ben Mehl & André Ware to Lead THE LAW OF RETURN at 4th Street Theatre, 8/1-24

Casting has been announced for the New York premiere of THE LAW OF RETURN, playwright Martin Blank's ('Closing Time,' 'Avenue of the Americas') original spy thriller inspired by events surrounding the Jay Pollard espionage case, directed by Elise Thoron ('County of Kings') and featuring Joel Rooks ('Say Goodnight Gracie'), Ben Mehl ('Habit') and Andre Ware ('Halfway There') with preview performances beginning August 1 prior to an official press opening of August 7 at the 4th Street Theatre (83 East 4th Street, btw. Bowery and Second Ave). THE LAW OF RETURN is presented Off-Broadway by Newsom Zipoy Productions.

Gideon Productions to Bring LIGATURE MARKS to Hollywood Fringe, 6/9-18

After making a splash at Brooklyn's Game Play Festival in 2013, Gideon Productions decided to take their hit dark comedy original Ligature Marks onto the festival circuit. Lucky for Los Angelinos they decided to make a stop at this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival, going up at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre.

Deep in the vaults of an institution for the criminally insane, The Blood Brothers await their final hours on Earth. In the custody of a physician as sinister as they are, the two brothers fill their last days feeding on the surreal stories of their fellow inmates.

Gideon Productions to Present KILL SHAKESPEARE at HERE, 3/1-5

Gideon Productions will present the stage adaption of Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery's graphic novel KILL SHAKESPEARE for a limited engagement, March 1-5 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue). The production will be directed by Jordana Williams and will feature Becky Byers* (Blast Radius), Neimah Djourabchi* (The Inexplicable Redemption of Agent G), Abe Goldfarb* (I Hope They Serve Beer on Broadway), Stephen Heskett (BrainExplode!), Daryl Lathon* (Sovereign), Kelley Rae O'Donnell* (Clown Bar), Mac Rogers (Ligature Marks), Brian Silliman* (The Particulars), and Sean Williams (Advance Man). New City Stage Company to Present HINCKLEY, 3/6-30

New City Stage Company has announced the third play of the 2013-2014 Season, the world premiere of Hinckley, written by award- winning theatre artist Ginger Dayle and directed by television and film actor Russ Widdall. This is the first play written from the perspective of the would-be assassin of President Ronald Reagan. A collaborative work created by the New City Stage artistic team, the play will be presented as a fever-dream first person account of his life , including the events leading up to the assassination attempt. On March 30, 1981 the course of American history is irrevocably altered by this schizophrenic lovestruck loner. Obsessive fantasy sidelines Presidency. Featuring Sam Sherburne, from the hit Philadelphia premieres of Frost/Nixon and American Sligo .

Caps Lock Theatre Brings THE SEX WITH ROBOTS FESTIVAL to the Secret Theatre Tonight

CAPS LOCK THEATRE presents THE SEX WITH ROBOTS FESTIVAL, a series of short plays about sex with robots, written by a formidable group of playwrights: Micheline Auger, Danny Bowes, J. Julian Christopher, Richard Lovejoy & Eric Meyer, Mariah MacCarthy, Mac Rogers, Leah Nanako Winkler and Natalie Zutter, with a robot sex song cycle by Nat Cassidy. The festival is set for today, November 5-10 at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City.

Horse Trade Theater Group to Present THE PUMPKIN PIE SHOW: BOOGEDY BOO!, 10/10-26

Horse Trade Theater Group proudly presents their annual Halloween tradition, THE PUMPKIN PIE SHOW: BOOGEDY BOO! with brand new spine tingling stories byClay McLeod Chapman (Hostage Song at The Kraine; The Penalty at Dixon Place) and performances by Chapman, Hanna Cheek (Mac Rogers' Sovereign; Goodbar with Waterwell), and Pumpkin Pie newcomer Ana Asensio (Medea ?s Get Some Issues at the 2012 United Solo Festival) with noir-infused musical interludes by Shayfer James. Indie Theater Now to Publish 12 FringeNYC Scripts, With More to Come

About two dozen plays, hot off their hit runs at the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival, are ready to be discovered by the rest of the world. Martin Denton, founder and editor of Indie Theater Now, announced the first 12 script titles that will be included in this collection, representing the diversity, vibrancy, invention, energy, and fun of FringeNYC.
