Theatre NOVA, Ann Arbor's resident nonprofit professional theatre, kicks off the new year with the world premiere of “SPLATTERED!” by Hal Davis and Carla Milarch, which runs April 21 through May 14, 2023.

FIM Flint Repertory Theatre presents another world premiere with The Magnificent Seven March 31 – April 16. With book and lyrics by Gordon Leary and music by Julia Meinwald, this dazzling new show explores the inner lives of the 1996 U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team as they capture the nation's imagination while competing for Olympic Gold.

The Dio a?" Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is very excited to present their original musical, Home for the Holidays, directed by Steve DeBruyne with musical direction by Brian E. Buckner and choreography by Lexie Janda. 2019 marks the fifth year that Home for the Holidays has been presented in Livingston County. The show was written by Dio co-founders, Steve DeBruyne and Matthew G. Tomich in 2012.

In the Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home, cartoonist Alison Bechdel starts every scene by saying a?oeCaption,a?? followed by a description of what is about to happen. Fun Home was adapted into a musical by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori and is based on Bechdel's memoir of the same name and subtitled a?oeA Family Tragicomic.a?? So let's just say, Caption: Encore Theatre's production of Fun Home is not to be missed.

Described as 'A Family Tragicomic,' Fun Home was written by cartoonist Alison Bechdel, best known for her long-running comic strip 'Dykes to Watch Out For.' Named the Best Book of 2006 by Time magazine, Fun Home was adapted into a musical by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori (Shrek, Violet, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and opened on Broadway in 2015 after a sold-out Off-Broadway run at the Public Theater in 2013.
