Carpenter (Executive Producer) and Chip Klose (Artistic Director), in association with Third Coast Creative (Deborah Stavis, CEO and Monte Stavis, President) proudly announces casting and creative team for the world-premiere of the new Off-Broadway musical The Extraordinary Ordinary.

Producers Randy Taradash and Martian Entertainment announced plans for a private reading of a newly revised script of bare, the award-winning rock musical that has garnered a worldwide fan base since its 2000 Los Angeles premiere. The reading will take place on November 1 in New York City.

Broadway and US television stars Lea Salonga (Gloria Suzuki), George Takei (old Sam Omura), Telly Leung (young Sam Omura), Allie Trim (Hannah Campbell), Michael K. Lee (James Omura), Paolo Montalban (Ben Chin/Mike Masaoka), Christine Toy Johnson (Kimiko Omura), Alan Ariano (Tatsuo Omura) and Jason Tam (Frankie Suzuki) led two public staged readings of 'American Idiot' associate producers Lorenzo Thione and Jay Kuo's Broadway bound musical 'Allegiance' on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Julia Miles Theatre, 424 W55th St. New York, NY. Tony-award winning actress Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) and television and film icon George Takei (Star Trek, Heroes) will return to portray the roles of Gloria Suzuki and Old Sam Omura in a developmental reading of the new Broadway-bound musical, Allegiance, on October 25th at the Julia Miles Theatre in New York City. Telly Leung (Flower Drum Song, Pacific Overture, Wicked, Rent) and Allie Trimm (13, Bye Bye Birdie) also star. Allegiance is produced by Lorenzo Thione and Sing Out, Louise! Productions.

New York University's program in vocal performance will present a workshop production of the new musical Party Come Here -featuring a book by Daniel Goldfarb (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Radio Girl) and music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum (Summer of '42, Vanities)-at the Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street [Subway: A, B, C, D, E, F, V (West Fourth Street)].

It has only been a few short months since new American musical, ALLEGIANCE, had its first staged reading in Los Angeles, California. Its original stars, Lea Salonga ('Miss Saigon,' 'Flower Drum Song') and George Takei ('Heroes,' 'Star Trek'), accompanied by the musical's creators, new cast members and artistic staff, are now bringing ALLEGIANCE to New York City for its second staged reading on Monday, February 22, 2010.

The off-Broadway staple Altar Boyz, played its final performance on January 10, 2010 at its home, New World Stages after playing 2032 performances - cast members past and present were on stage and on hand to celebrate the show's success. It is the 9th longest running off-Broadway musical in history.

On December 14, Joe's Pub showcased the second annual concert presentation of New York City Christmas, featuring special guests Sherie Rene Scott and Raul Esparza. Tony Award winner Harriet Harris hosted the event, which was presented by ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records. Stafford Arima (London's Ragtime, Altar Boyz) directed the concert.

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE'S world premiere of POP!, with book and lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman and music by Anna K. Jacobs, directed by Mark Brokaw, is now playing through December 19 only.
