Composer Jonathan Reid Gealt's music is captured on his debut CD, Thirteen Stories Down,' by some of Broadway's brightest young stars, including Caissie Levy (Hair), Adam Chanler-Berat (Next to Normal), Tituss Burgess (Jersey Boys), Natalie Weiss (American Idol), Will Chase (Rent), Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow), Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot), Capathia Jenkins and the Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more! The album, produced by Joel Moss and Lynne Shankel and featuring musical direction and arrangements by Shankel, will be released later this month and available for shipping on December 28. Producers Randy Taradash and Martian Entertainment announced plans for a private reading of a newly revised script of bare, the award-winning rock musical that has garnered a worldwide fan base since its 2000 Los Angeles premiere. The reading will take place on November 1 in New York City.

Tony-award winning actress Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) and television and film icon George Takei (Star Trek, Heroes) will return to portray the roles of Gloria Suzuki and Old Sam Omura in a developmental reading of the new Broadway-bound musical, Allegiance, on October 25th at the Julia Miles Theatre in New York City. Telly Leung (Flower Drum Song, Pacific Overture, Wicked, Rent) and Allie Trimm (13, Bye Bye Birdie) also star. Allegiance is produced by Lorenzo Thione and Sing Out, Louise! Productions.

It has only been a few short months since new American musical, ALLEGIANCE, had its first staged reading in Los Angeles, California. Its original stars, Lea Salonga ('Miss Saigon,' 'Flower Drum Song') and George Takei ('Heroes,' 'Star Trek'), accompanied by the musical's creators, new cast members and artistic staff, are now bringing ALLEGIANCE to New York City for its second staged reading on Monday, February 22, 2010.

The off-Broadway staple Altar Boyz, played its final performance on January 10, 2010 at its home, New World Stages after playing 2032 performances - cast members past and present were on stage and on hand to celebrate the show's success. It is the 9th longest running off-Broadway musical in history.

On December 14, Joe's Pub showcased the second annual concert presentation of New York City Christmas, featuring special guests Sherie Rene Scott and Raul Esparza. Tony Award winner Harriet Harris hosted the event, which was presented by ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records. Stafford Arima (London's Ragtime, Altar Boyz) directed the concert.

Following a triumphant December 2008 benefit concert, ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and Sh-K-Boom / Ghostlight Records have announced the album release of 'New York City Christmas.' In addition, ASTEP will present a concert to celebrate the release of the CD on December 14th. The evening will feature Broadway stars Sierra Boggess, Andy Karl, Tyler Maynard, Lindsay Mendez, Orfeh, Tory Ross, Anya Singleton and Sally Wilfert.

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE'S world premiere of POP!, with book and lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman and music by Anna K. Jacobs, directed by Mark Brokaw, is now playing through December 19 only.
