Esparza Joins NYC Christmas at Joe's Pub

On December 20, Tony nominee Raul Esparza will join previously announced Orfeh, Andy Karl, Chester Gregory, and many more for Joe's Pub's New York City Christmas Benefit.

Joe's Pub at The Public Theater debuted in October 1998 and has quickly became one of New York City's most celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance. With its genre-blind booking and vast diversity of interests, the stage at Joe's Pub gives voice to a world of varied and stellar artists.

Following a sold out concert in 2009 ASTEP (Artists Striving To End Poverty) is very proud to bring back the third annual concert presentation of 'New York City Christmas' at Joe's Pub on December 20th, 2010 at 7:00pm.

Hosted by ASTEP and SH-K-BOOM/Ghostlight Records and conceived, produced and music directed by Drama Desk-nominated orchestrator Lynne Shankel (Cry-Baby, Altar Boyz, Vanities, Summer of '42) the concert will again boast an incredible line-up of artists including Orfeh (Legally Blonde, Footloose, Saturday Night Fever), Andy Karl (Legally Blonde, Altar Boyz, 9 to 5), Lindsay Mendez (Grease), Sally Wilfert (Assassins, Make Me a Song and the national tour of ...Spelling Bee), Betsy Wolfe (110 in the Shade, Everyday Rapture) and Elizabeth Stanley (Company, Cry-Baby, Million Dollar Quartet). Back by popular demand the evening will feature Broadway's most sought-after talent singing fresh, original approaches-- pop, soul, R&B, rock and more-of holiday songs off 'New York City Christmas' the album, available for purchase at the concert, through Itunes, Amazon and the SH-K-BOOM/Ghostlight Records website [ <> <> ]. $100.00 VIP tickets include dessert and Champaign. $50.00 secures a general seat for the concert, $25.00 for standing room. ALL proceeds from tickets to the show and album sales go to supporting ASTEP's mission to create positive change for young people in need across the globe.
