Last night, September 20th the Bleecker Street Theater Company presented a reading of Charles Messina's new Broadway-bound comedy, A ROOM OF MY OWN as part of that theater's Play Development Series. Messina directed the reading, which featured Ralph Macchio, Mario Cantone, Lynne Koplitz, Gina Ferranti, Valerie Smaldone, Kendra Jain, Johnny Tammaro and John Barbieri. Comix is Zagat's highest rated comedy venue, and was dubbed 'one of the top six clubs in the country' by the Hollywood Reporter. Comix was also named the top headliner club in New York City by both GrandLife and Digital City.

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.
