Do I Have to Die for You to Notice Me?, a play by internationally acclaimed playwright Inigo Ramirez de Haro comes to the Royal Theater at the Producer's Club, 358 West 44th Street, NYC from October 24 - 28, 2012. For its seventh season Boston Midsummer Opera (BMO) presents the comic piece, Donizetti's Don Pasquale, playing at the Tsai Performance Center at Boston University for three performances only, tonight, July 25, 27, and 29. Obie Award winner/Tony Award nominee Austin Pendleton directs the fully staged and costumed production. Music director and nationally acclaimed conductor Susan Davenny Wyner leads the performances, which will be performed with orchestra and sung in English. More than a dozen Broadway and International Artists, including cast members from hit shows The Lion King, Fela, Bring It On, Book of Mormon, and the original productions of In The Heights, Swing! and Kiss of the Spider Woman, among others, will donate their time as volunteer teachers for R.Evolución Latina's 5th Annual Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp, scheduled for today, July 16-July 20.
The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC) will reprise its production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE in not one, but two unique outdoor venues this month. This delightful, comic operetta, with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W. S. Gilbert, is directed by veteran TTC director/adaptor/actor Clara Barton Green.
