Guerilla Opera's thirteenth season of live performances ended as soon as it began, but the company has not been silent. Here are their most recent upcoming events, new initiatives they've launched and ways to interact with the Guerillas that are truly interactive.

Last week, the Mayor ordered a shutdown of all Cultural Arts Spaces in order to protect everyone's health and safety in response to Covid-19. Today the governor ordered that 100% of non-essential workers must stay home; effectively shutting down the city. We are in the midst of an unprecedented crisis. However, this world, our one singular world, has been in crisis for some time, from sociopolitical & institutionalized oppression to the growing climate emergency.

Mary Rodger's (yes, daughter of that Richard Rodgers) 1959 musical Once Upon a Mattress makes an appearance in Highgate in a revival that, unfortunately, looks old and stuffy despite all the talent on stage.

Guerilla Opera's season starts Saturday, March 14, 2020! Experience a showcase of five world premiere one-act operas written by composers from Guerilla Opera's inaugural Emergence Composer Fellowship in Slosberg Recital Hall at Brandeis University in Waltham. Featured composers and librettists include: Leah Reid, Caroline Louise Miller, Daniel Reza Sabzghabaei (دانیال رضا سبزقبایی) and Mina Salehpour (librettist), Jeremy Rapaport-Stein, and Niko Yamamoto and Athanasia Giannetos (librettist).

Once Upon a Mattress opens Upstairs at the Gatehouse in March 2020. Returning to the Gatehouse with another classic musical rarely seen in London, Mark Giesser steps back into the director's chair for his new production of Once Upon A Mattress, the first musical by Mary Rodgers, daughter of legendary musical composer Richard Rodgers.

ONE DAY HOME, screenwriter and actress Rebecca Louise Miller's debut as a filmmaker, is a touching and sensitively executed allegory about hope. The short film, deftly directed by Drew Denny and featuring a superb cast, is an enchanting and smile-inducing paean to hope and possibility.
