Triple Showcase At West Bank Cafe 1/10-1/11

Triple Showcase at the West Bank Cafe to Feature Michael Wolff Trio, Creole Jazz Serenaders with Don Vappie, and the Red Clay Ramblers January 10th and 11th. Events are Open to the Public, and Part of APAP Conference as well. VANITIES Postpones Broadway Run Until Later Date

VANITIES, A New Musical by Jack Heifner, with music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, directed by two-time Tony? Award-winner Judith Ivey and musical staging by Dan Knechtges, has postponed a planned Broadway run.

VANITIES Opens On Broadway at Lyceum 2/26, Previews Begin 2/2

VANITIES, A New Musical by Jack Heifner, with music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Judith Ivey and musical staging by Dan Knechtges, will open on Broadway Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45th Street (preview performances will begin Monday, February 2).

Amas Presents Free Performances of BURLY-Q! 10/22

Starring Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Side Show) as Mary, Sarah Stiles (Avenue Q, …Spelling Bee) as Joanne and Anneliese van der Pol (Beauty and the Beast, TV's 'That's So Raven') as Kathy, VANITIES will open on Broadway in the Fall of 2008 at a theatre to be announced.

Paper Mill Playhouse Announces 'Little Shop' Casting

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) announces its mainstage production of Little Shop of Horrors, a musical written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. It's a musical comedy to die for - literally! The musical is based on Roger Corman's 1960 sci-fi comedy and includes several show-stopping numbers including 'Skid Row (Downtown),' 'Somewhere That's Green,' and 'Suddenly Seymour,' as well as the title song. Little Shop of Horrors will run at the Millburn theatre from June 4 through July 6, 2008.

Amas Musical Theatre's 'Street Dreams' To Open 5/9

Amas Musical Theatre's Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy (Donna Trinkoff, Producing Artistic Director; Rosetta LeNoire, Founder) will present the Tony Award-Winning musical Street Dreams: The Inner City Musical, by Eve Merriam, with a score by Helen Miller. Street Dreams: The Inner City Musical will open on Friday, May 9 and run through the 18th at the American Theatre of Actors (314 West 54th St.)

Cuccioli is the 'Man of La Mancha' at White Plains

Robert Cuccioli to star as Don Quixote in the upcoming White Plains Performing Arts Center production of Man of La Mancha; part of the Broadway Classics series at the theatre to play November 29-December 16.

Photo Flash: Lone Star Love!

The new Broadway-bound musical comedy Lone Star Love, starring Academy-Award nominee Randy Quaid in his Broadway debut as Colonel John Falstaff, has its official Seattle opening Wednesday, September 19 at The 5th Avenue Theatre. The show continues its run in Seattle through September 30, and will open for previews at New York's Belasco Theatre on November 1; opening night on Broadway is December 3.
