Susan Penhaligon recently joined the touring cast of CABARET alongside Will Young (Emcee) and Louise Redknapp (Sally Bowles), which opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre tonight 21 September.

The Schimmel Center presents American Dance Spectacular! on Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m., exploring the history of American popular dance throughout the 20th century, including the Charleston, Lindy hop, jitterbug, twist, voguing, and more. The performance is directed, co-written and created by Daniel C. Levine (Broadway's Les Mis rables, Chicago, and Mamma Mia!) with choreography by Al Blackstone (Fox's So You Think You Can Dance), music direction by Bryan Perri (Broadway's Wicked and Next to Normal), and book by Susan Batten (Lifetime's Showing Roots) together with six Broadway dancers backed by three vocalists and a live band.

This December, some of Broadway's brightest stars Leslie Odom Jr., Andrew Rannells, Sutton Foster with special guest Jonathan Groff, and Stephanie J. Block will headline four special performances combining the intimacy of cabaret with the razzle dazzle of the Great White Way at The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Presented by Live From Lincoln Center, each evening showcases one of these leading voices of musical theater while illuminating their musical journeys to stardom, revisiting favorite songs, and offering glimpses of future projects.

Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Foundation, a non-profit that supports one of the nation's premier arts schools, kicked off the 2017-18 season with a stunning beachfront concert starring Broadway sensation and notable alumna Krysta Rodriguez performing musical numbers from her career alongside 12 talented Musical Theatre Conservatory students. getTV will honor the memories of legendary comedy stars Jerry Lewis, who died August 20 at age 91, and Dick Gregory, who died August 19 at age 84, with a special programming bloc of television appearances by Lewis, Gregory and other comic superstars on Sunday, September 3, beginning at 10PM ET/9 CT.  Lewis who rose to fame as singer/straight man Dean Martin's partner, then went onto write, produce and direct himself in a run of successful slapstick comedy films while raising money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Gregory was a groundbreaking African-American standup comedian and satirist who became a leading figure in in the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
