The Emelin Theatre, located in Mamaroneck, New York, and founded in 1972, is the oldest continuously operating performing arts theater in Westchester County. Its mission is to bring the best in live performing arts to Westchester and other nearby communities and to promote a cultural life that entertains, educates, and invigorates.

Lynch Theater at John Jay College presents the second staged reading in the First Throws Play Reading Series, Cesi Davidson's All Dressed Up, directed by Mary Hodges and featuring Lorna Haughton and Sadrina Renee, with stage directions read by Florence Kildare, on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7pm at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, 899 Tenth Avenue, NYC. Admission is FREE and reservations are not required.

Primary Stages closed its celebratory 25th Anniversary Season by proudly announcing the naming of its School of Theater in honor of founding board members Marvin and Anne Einhorn last week on April 16. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the ceremony. The school will now be officially known as Primary Stages Marvin and Anne Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA). Twenty-five years after helping to found Primary Stages, Marvin and Anne Einhorn continue to serve the theater company and still report to duty each day at the Primary Stages office. They personify the renowned theater company's fierce and unwavering commitment to producing exciting work Off-Broadway.

Bogosian & Emerson Lead Red Bull Theater's Revelation Readings this Season

Red Bull Theater's Revelation Readings series will feature Eric Bogosian, Michael Emerson and more. The series began readings on September 14th and will continue the series through June 14, 2010. The series is meant to rediscover neglected classics, and to develop new plays of heightened language and classical themes.

Actress and playwright ELLEN MCLAUGHLIN, best known for originating the role of the Angel in Tony Kushner's 'ANGELS IN AMERICA', appearing in every U.S. production from its earliest workshops through its Broadway run, will present a workshop presentation of her new play 'PENELOPE' at NYU this fall. 'PENELOPE' is a music-theater piece featuring Ms. Mc Laughlin and a string quartet with original music by Sarah Kirkland Snider. It will be presented at NYU Gallatin School's new Labowitz theatre, 715 Broadway, on October 29, 20, 31 and November 1st at 7 PM with a 2 PM matinee on November 1.
