Casting Announced For GEM OF THE OCEAN at the Goodman

Resident Director Chuck Smith, who served as the original production's dramaturg, directs a cast of seven—featuring Sharif Atkins (Citizen Barlow), Sydney Charles (Black Mary), Lisa Gaye Dixon (Aunt Ester), Gary Houston (Rutherford Selig), Kelvin Roston, Jr. (Caesar), A.C. Goodman Theatre Celebrates 40 Years Of A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Nearly 100 actors, crew, staff and audiences of A Christmas Carol have smiled, spoken and shared. Today, Goodman Theatre launches a multimedia showcase reflecting the impact the production has made over 40 years: the Humans of A Christmas Carol photo project, featuring the cast, crew and staff captured by famed Chicago-based photographer Frank Ishman; and A Christmas Carol All-Stars, stories from a variety of patrons from those who have attended nearly every year, to the couple married by Bob Cratchit, to the fan named for Tiny Tim.

Geva Launches 2014 Fielding Studio Series with BLACK PEARL SINGS!, Now thru 2/9

Geva Theatre Center's 2014 Fielding Studio Series kicks off with Black Pearl Sings! by Frank Higgins. This production comes to Geva from The Kitchen Theatre Company in Ithaca and is directed by Sara Lampert Hoover. The production begins performances tonight, January 23 and runs in the Fielding Nextstage through February 9.
