The Nordic International Film Festival (NIFF), the largest Nordic film festival outside of Europe, has announced its lineup for its 6th year.

he 5th Annual NORDIC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, The Biggest Nordic Film Festival Outside Europe, is set to kick off on Wednesday, October 16 and run until Sunday, October 20, 2019. This year's NIFF will take place at its new home, the Roxy Cinema in New York's Roxy Hotel (formerly the Tribeca Grand). Panels & Parties will happen at the iconic new Park Avenue outpost of the acclaimed Stockholm Museum Fotografiska.

The Nordic International Film Festival is now in its 4th year. Due to popular demand and a higher number of film submissions, this year the festival has been expanded to 5 Days, making it the biggest Nordic festival outside of Europe.  The 4th Nordic International Film Festival (NIFF) will be held from October 31st – November 4th at Scandinavia House in New York.

It was announced today that Golden Globe winner Rachel Brosnahan ('The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,' 'House of Cards') has signed on to executive produce the series 'Femme,' based on the short film of the same name that is currently on the festival circuit. Brosnahan also executive produced the short, which hits queer streaming service, Revry, on September 21st.

Till We Meet Again, an independent film from 2015, written by its star Johan 'John' Matton and directed by Bank Tangjaitrong, has been playing film festivals and picking up awards as Best Film. As I read the description, I thought, 'Oh no, not another film about young lovers with relationship difficulties! After five years of living together, this couple have reached the point where they must explore options. They need to find themselves.' This type of story has been done to death, so what makes this film so special?

COTTON, written by Sara Fellini and directed by Samuel Adams. THE EXECUTION OF MRS. COTTON will be presented Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 PM July 14-31 with one 3PM matinee on Sunday, July 24th (there will no evening performance on July 24th).  The performances will be held at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, Manhattan, buzzer 3B, off the Christopher Street Path Station, or a few blocks from the Christopher Street 1 stop) as part of IRT Theater's 3B Residency series. The Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF) will be celebrating its 4th Anniversary as they bring a fresh line up of exciting films from around the world to Long Island. Taking place this weekend, September 24-27th primarily in the City of Long Beach, NY the event will once again branch off into Rockville Centre as well.
