Walton Arts Center Announces 2018-19 P&G Broadway Series

Walton Arts Center is excited to announce the 2018-19 Procter & Gamble Broadway Series, which includes eight must-see shows. Broadway subscriptions can be renewed or purchased now by calling our Box Office at 479.443.5600. Single tickets to all Broadway and regular season shows will be available this summer.

Cast Announced for the Goodman's HAVING OUR SAY: THE DELANY SISTERS' FIRST 100 YEARS

"Life is short, and it's up to you to make it sweet." - Sadie Delany (1889 -1999). Goodman Theatre revives Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years, Emily Mann's "warming theatrical event" (Variety)that celebrates the lives of "two strong, vibrant women dispensing joy and wisdom" (Chicago Tribune). Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production features Ella Joyce and Marie Thomas as the Delany centenarians, Bessie (1891 - 1995) and Sadie (1889 -1999), respectively, as they trace their lives in a heartfelt reflection of their family history and triumphs over prejudices in times of social unrest.

The Orchard Project Announces 2018 New York City Greenhouse

The Orchard Project (Artistic Director, Ari Edelson) announced the eleven writers, composers, directors and companies for its 2018 New York City Greenhouse. In its first year, the Orchard Project NYC Greenhouse is a new NYC-based accelerator for directors, writers, composers and other generative artists to seed ambitious and unexpected work, form new relationships and develop a new generation of theater. For the Orchard Project, it aims to parlay the strength of support that has set the organization apart and transform it into a resource for its growing network of artists.

MY FAIR LADY Announces Digital Ticket Lottery

Lincoln Center Theater has announced an online ticket lottery for its new production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, beginning with the musical's first preview Thursday, March 15 at 8pm at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night for MY FAIR LADY, considered the most beloved musical of all time, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, music by Frederick Loewe, directed by Bartlett Sher, is Thursday, April 19.

FALSETTOS, A BRONX TALE, and More Join AT&T Performing Arts Center's 2018/19 Season

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center today announced the 2018/2019 season of its Broadway Series, featuring The Dallas Theater Center production of Hairspray; A Bronx Tale; The Lincoln Center Theater Broadway production of Falsettos; The Play That Goes Wrong; Bat Out of Hell and Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All performances will take place at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Photo Flash: Young People's Chorus of New York City Celebrates 30th Anniversary Celebration at Jazz at Lincoln Center

On Monday evening, March 5, at 7 p.m. with every seat in Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater occupied, more than 425 singers in the Young People's Chorus of New York City opened the celebration of their storied 30-year history by singing 'Why We Tell the Story' written by Broadway's powerhouse songwriting team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, among the evening's special guests, who also helped host. Under the leadership of YPC Artistic Director Francisco J. Nuñez and Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Nuñez, YPC was also joined by renowned baritone Lester Lynch as well as Broadway's Jenn Colella from 'Come From Away' and Jordan Donica, soon to be featured in 'My  Fair Lady.'

Juilliard Appoints Evan Yionoulis as Director of Drama

Juilliard today announced that Obie-award winning director Evan Yionoulis, currently professor in the practice of acting and directing at Yale School of Drama and a resident director at Yale Repertory Theatre, will become the school's Richard Rodgers Director of Drama at Juilliardstarting with the 2018-19 academic and performance season. The Juilliard Drama Division, celebrating its 50th anniversary this season, offers a program that encompasses one of this country's most respected conservatory educations for actors as well as highly successful pre-professional mentoring for playwrights.
