Gabriel Ebert, Jon Michael Hill, Namir Smallwood to Star in LCT3's PASS OVER

LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Gabriel Ebert, Jon Michael Hill, and Namir Smallwood will be featured in its upcoming production of PASS OVER, a new play by Antoinette Nwandu, directed by Danya Taymor, at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). This New York premiere of PASS OVER will begin performances Saturday evening, June 2 and run for six weeks only throughSunday, July 15. Opening night is Monday, June 18.

New Light Theater Project Closes Season with THE HOLLOWER

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories for the 33rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST.  This year's event will be hosted by actors Laura Benanti and Jason Jones and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.

According to Deadline, Jason Schwartzman and Cherry Jones are set to join Amy Poehler in the new Netflix feature WINE COUNTRY. Amy Poehler is set to star in, direct, and produce. The film is also set to feature talent from Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey and Emily Spivey. Poehler has directed episodes of PARKS AND RECREATION and BROAD CITY in the past, but this will be her feature film directorial debut. South Coast Repertory Premieres LITTLE BLACK SHADOWS By Kemp Powers

Playwright Kemp Powers knew he'd found something incredible in the personal recollections of former slaves documented by a federal writers project during the Great Depression. Discovering the different voices and views in those first-person histories inspired him to learn more and write Little Black Shadows, which has its world premiere at South Coast Repertory, April 8-29, on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Ayad Akhtar Selects GOD SAID THIS by Leah Nanako Winkler as Winner of Yale Drama Series Prize

One of the theater world's most prestigious playwriting prizes, the Yale Drama Series Prize, will be given to Leah Nanako Winkler for her play God Said This. The 2018 award recipient was chosen by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar. The winning play will receive a private staged reading at Lincoln Center Theater's Claire Tow Theater onOctober 30, 2018.

The Public Announces Gala Performance of RUNAWAYS

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that The Public's Annual Galawill be a performance of the groundbreaking and thought-provoking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados on Monday, June 11 at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Sam Pinkleton with choreography by Ani Taj, and creative advisement by Jeanine Tesori, the highly-anticipated summer gala under the stars will celebrate the 40th anniversary of this milestone production that first premiered at The Public in 1978 and continues to be a definitive moment in Public Theater history.

EgoPo Stages Final Part Of Lydie Breeze Trilogy 4/11-22

The initial run of EgoPo Classic Theater's epic presentation of John Guare's Lydie Breeze Trilogy comes to a close in April. The pinnacle of EgoPo's 25th Anniversary season and its season-long John Guare Festival, this epic piece of theater about an American family, set between the Civil War and the birth of the 20th-century, moves into its final part. EgoPo produced three separate production runs of each part of the trilogy, which will be followed by two weeks of three-day marathons and four opportunities for single-day marathons. EgoPo is collaborating with Guare to present all three plays, now titled Cold Harbor, Aipotu, and Madaket Road in a consecutive cycle, with music by Jay Ansill and Cynthia Hopkins.

Due to a scheduling conflict, performances of The Broadway Princess Party-starring two- time Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (Cinderella, Bonnie & Clyde), Tony Award nominee Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Courtney Reed (Aladdin, In The Heights) and music director Benjamin Rauhala-have been moved to Saturday, June 2 (8 p.m.) and Sunday, June 3 (5 p.m.). Customers who purchased tickets for Friday, June 1 will be moved to another performance or issued a refund.
