On Friday, September 10, 2021, the percussion and piano quartet Yarn/Wire will release two albums: Tonband, world premiere recordings of music by Enno Poppe and Wolfgang Heiniger out digitally on WERGO Records, and legendary sound artist and experimental composer Annea Lockwood's Becoming Air.

Bang on a Can announces the Cal Performances at Home video premiere of a new film, Steel Hammer, featuring the acclaimed oratorio by Bang on a Can's co-founder, Pulitzer Prize winner Julia Wolfe.

The American Opera Project announces the return of its Composers & the Voice program for its 2021-2023 seasons. Created and led by Composers & the Voice Artistic Director Steven Osgood, six composers and up to three librettists will be selected for two-year fellowships to explore the fundamentals of writing for the voice and lyric theater.

Lincoln Center at Home is maintaining connections to the arts during the COVID-19 pandemic. A free, one-stop portal to all digital offerings from across the iconic campus, offerings include Lincoln Center Pop-Up Classroom, #ConcertsForKids, and an array of archival and livestream performances.

A contemporary dance company comprising disabled and non-disabled dancers, internationally renowned Candoco explores what dance can be. In its New York and BAM debuts, Candoco presents a program of two works: a restaging of Trisha Brown's iconic Set and Reset, first reworked in 2011 by Candoco in collaboration with Brown's company; and Face In (2017), a commissioned work by Israeli-American choreographer Yasmeen Godder.

The Metropolitan Opera will present a new production of Wagner's early masterpiece Der Fliegende Holländer on March 2, 2020, with performances continuing through March 27. Valery Gergiev conducts the new staging from director François Girard, whose interpretation is centered on the young woman Senta's obsession with a portrait of the Dutchman.

As part of its third season in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Target Margin Theater will continue its multi-year exploration of The One Thousand and One Nights with P*ssyc*ck Know Nothing, a new work that wrestles with The Porter and the Three Ladies of Baghdad stories from the collection of classic Silk Road tales.

On Wednesday, February 12 at 5:30 pm and 8 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents performances by the Music From China ensemble in celebration of the Princeton University Art Museum's exhibit The Eternal Feast: Banqueting in Chinese Art from the 10th to the 14th Century. To be held amid the Museum's second floor galleries, the concert spotlights the artistry of musicians Wang Guowei, Sun Li, and Wang Junling as they perform traditional Chinese music on erhu, pipa, and zheng.

Theatre Royal Bath has announced the appointment of internationally acclaimed and multi-award-winning theatre and opera director Deborah Warner as the new Artistic Director of the Ustinov Studio. The launch of Loghaven Artist Residency is the culmination of years of planning, research, design, and input from artists, arts leaders, and the Alliance of Artist Communities.

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) announces that conductor Christophe Rousset withdrew today from the HGO premiere of La favorite due to personal circumstances. HGO Artistic and Music Director Patrick Summers will conduct all five performances. The production runs from Jan. 24 a?" Feb. 9, 2020 at the Wortham Theater Center.

Franz Welser-Möst will return to the New York Philharmonic for the first time since 2000 to conduct the US Premiere of Jörg Widmann's Babylon Suite and Richard Strauss's Symphonia domestica, Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m.; and Saturday, February 29 at 8:00 p.m.
