London's world-renowned venue Shakespeare's Globe makes its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut with two shows from the acclaimed family-friendly series Shakespeare Untold, running 5 - 31 August 2015 (previews 5 - 7 August; no shows 12, 19 & 26 August) at Pleasance Courtyard. Shakespeare Untold features Romeo and Juliet (The Party Planner's Tale) and Titus Andronicus (The Piemaker's Tale) by Harper Ray and Adam Sibbald, based on the plays of William Shakespeare. Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has confirmed that J.M. Barrie's original stage play of Peter Pan will open its 2015 season (15 May - 14 June 2015). This will be followed by The Seagull (19 June - 11 July) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(16 July - 29 August). Following sell-out performances in 2011, Timothy Sheader's production of William Golding's Lord of the Flies will then return to the Open Air Theatre (3 - 12 September) to conclude the 2015 season, prior to a major UK tour.

Timothy Sheader's critically acclaimed production of Porgy and Bess which ends its strictly limited run at Regents Park Open Air Theatre on 23 August, draws on talent from both sides of the Atlantic, Rufus Bonds Jr plays Porgy and Nicola Hughes plays Bess, with Phillip Boykin as Crown, Cedric Neal as Sportin' Life and Olivier Award-winning Sharon D Clarke as Mariah. Arguably, the world's favourite opera, its wit and charm has enchanted music-lovers of all ages for hundreds of years. ETO's second offering at The Marlowe Theatre is Michael Tippett's King Priam, a tale of gods and men, character and destiny, set in the world of classical myth in the besieged city of Troy.

Benton To Star In HOBSON'S CHOICE; Clarke And Hughes In PORGY AND BESS At Open Air Theatre

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has confirmed lead casting for Hobson's Choice and the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. Mark Benton will play Henry Hobson in Hobson's Choice, with Jodie McNee as his daughter Maggie. Rufus Bonds Jr and Nicola Hughes play the title roles in Porgy and Bess with Phillip Boykin re-creating his Tony Award nominated performance as Crown, and Sharon D Clarke as Mariah.
