The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.

Breaking: OKLAHOMA! Will Launch National Tour from Oklahoma in 2020

Producer Eva Price announced today that the reimagined revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! will launch its North American tour at the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the Fall of 2020. The 2020 tour will mark the first time a First Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in 40 years.

TV: Parkland Students' Instrument of Hope Makes its Way to the Broadway Stage at OKLAHOMA!

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! became the first Broadway show to feature the Instrument of Hope on Wednesday, May 8th during a special encore performance of 'Out of My Dreams' right after the matinee. The Instrument of Hope, a trumpet made with bullet casings that has been touring around the country, was played on stage by the show's Music Director Nathan Koci, accompanied by the Oklahoma! band.

WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME Extends Broadway Run Through July!

On the night of its official opening, What the Constitution Means to Me has announced an extension of six additional weeks on Broadway. Initially announced for a 12-week engagement through June 9, 2019, What the Constitution Means to Me will now play through July 21, 2019 at the Helen Hayes Theater (240 W 44th Street, New York, NY). What the Constitution Means to Me officially opened tonight, March 31, 2019, after beginning performances on March 14.

2018 Mayors Office of Media and Entertainment Finance Lab to Support Female Filmmakers

On Tuesday, April 17, Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) Commissioner Julie Menin will host the 2018 MOME Finance Lab, an afternoon of collaboration and networking in support of film projects by, for or about women. The event will provide over thirty women filmmakers with an unprecedented opportunity to pitch multiple financiers for investment in their projects. The aim of the event is to cultivate films in New York City made by, for, and about women. Now in its second year, the MOME Finance Lab seeks to address the persistent gender gap in the filmed entertainment industry.
