MUSIC HALL, Starring Jeffrey Binder, Comes to 59E59, 3/25-4/12

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer, Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to welcome TUTA Theatre Chicago with MUSIC HALL, written by Jean-Luc Lagarce and directed by Zeljko Djukic. MUSIC HALL begins performances on Wednesday, March 25 for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 12. Press Opening is Tuesday, March 31 at 7:30 PM.

First Poet Laureate of L.A. & More Set for PROPERTIES OF SILENCE Salon Series at Pasadena Playhouse

Poetry readings, performances, panels and discussions paying tribute to 17th century poet and feminist writer Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz make up the "Post-Silence" Salon Series set to follow each performance of About… Productions' original drama Properties of Silence. Kicking off the series, Red Hen Press presents poets Eloise Klein Healy (first Poet Laureate of Los Angeles, 2012), Jessica Piazza and Terry Wolverton on Feb. 28. All performances and Salon Series events take place at The Carrie Hamilton Theatre at The Pasadena Playhouse.

The Mexican Museum to Showcase MAESTROS: 20TH CENTURY MEXICAN MASTERS, 3/13-6/28

The Mexican Museum, the premier West Coast museum of Mexican, Mexican-American, Chicano, Latin American and Latino art, culture and heritage, announces a new spring 2015 exhibition entitled 'Maestros: 20th Century Mexican Masters,' which will feature a dramatic selection of artworks from the Museum's permanent collections. The special exhibition will include the works of 30 internationally-renowned artists, beginning with the three most influential Mexican artists: Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Jose Clemente Orozco.

MTC to Welcome New Artists to Women Directors Program

Melbourne Theatre Company will welcome ten new artists to the Women Directors Program in 2015 following the program's successful inaugural year. Katy Alexander, Rachel Baring, Justine Campbell, Felix Ching Ching Ho, Tanya Dickson, Catarina Hebbard, Kat Henry, Samara Hersch, Tamara Searle and Hallie Shellam will join the year-long program, a first for a major theatre company in Australia.

Bilingual Play THE LONG ROAD/EL LARGO CAMINO DE HOY Opens Tonight

Two years ago, with funding from The James Irvine Foundation and in partnership with Latino Health Access, South Coast Repertory launched a play-development project in Santa Ana called Dialogue/Dialogos. The project captured the stories and memories of nearly 1,000 of the city's Latino residents, which created the core of a new bilingual play, The Long Road Today/El Largo Camino de Hoy,written by Jose Cruz Gonzalez.

Heartwarming Comedy HEROES Opens Tonight at Santa Paula Theater Center

The Santa Paula Theater Center presents HEROES by Gerald Sibleyras, adapted by Tom Stoppard on its Main Stage running from tonight, Sept. 5 through Oct. 12. Regular performances are on Friday and Saturday Evenings at 8pm and Sunday Matinees at 2:30 pm.
