Marina Prior Joins Cast of MTC's JUMPY

By:

MTC Season 2015 continues to deliver with the announcement today that Marina Prior will join the cast of Jumpy, the hilarious West End hit by April de Angelis which opens MTC's year of life in living colour on Thursday 5 February at Southbank Theatre, The Sumner.

Directed by Pamela Rabe, Jumpy is a frank and funny drama about frazzled hopes and parental anxiety that brings together some of Australia's most admired actors and creatives.

Marina Prior will step on stage as Francis, close friend and confidant to Jane Turner's Hilary, the mother of a rebellious teen. Also joining Marina Prior and Jane Turner are John Lloyd Fillingham as Roland and Dylan Watson as Cam.

MTC Artistic Director Brett Sheehy AO said, 'it's been a thrill to see the response from subscribers following our 2015 Season Launch and we are delighted that Marina Prior has signed on to be part of the Jumpy team. I can't think of a better way to kick off our year than with this gem of a production. With Pamela Rabe directing, and Jane Turner and Marina Prior amongst the cast, Jumpy is sure to be a summer delight.'

Following its Australian premiere at MTC, Jumpy will have a Sydney Theatre Company season from 30 March to 16 May 2015.

This latest casting announcement compliments the already stellar line-up for 2015 which includes Nadine Garner, Colin Friels, Belinda McClory, Aaron Pedersen, Mark Leonard Winter, Susie Porter, Greg Stone, Alison Bell, Ash Flanders and Peter Caroll; directors Clare Watson, Naomi Edwards, Simon Phillips, Geordie Brookman, Gary Abrahams, Roger Hodgman, Peter Houghton, MTC Associate Artistic Director Sam Strong and MTC Associate Director Leticia Cáceres; and writers Aidan Fennessy, Tim Rogers, Kylie Trounson, Carolyn Burns, Steve Vizard and Finegan Kruckemeyer.
