Warner Bros has shared the first teaser and poster for the highly-anticipated film adaptation of In the Heights!

Anthony Ramos plays Usnavi in the upcoming film adaptation of In The Heights. He recently spoke to ET about his experience working on the film, the importance of the show, diverse casting, and more!

Telemundo, the leading network serving Hispanic America, will present the 5th annual a?oeLatin American Music Awardsa?? (Latin AMAs) live from the prestigious Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Thursday October 17, 2019 at 8pm/7c, preceded by a one-hour red carpet pre-show a?oeLa Alfombra de Latin AMAsa?? at 7pm/6c. 

The Today Show recently did a feature on Payson Playground, a park near where Lin-Manuel Miranda grew up. Miranda and his family recently partnered with People's Theatre Project to give the park a revamp. The park is now a space for young performers to take part in a theatre summer camp.

Vulture reports that Stephanie Bratriz will play Carla in the IN THE HEIGHTS movie. The film is set for a 2020 release and will film uptown this summer. She joins the recently announced Anthony Ramos, Melissa Barerra, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, and Jimmy Smits.

Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter to announce the leads for the highly anticipated film adaptation of In The Heights! Anthony Ramos will star as Usnavi, Melissa Barerra as Vanessa, Corey Hawkins as Benny, and Leslie Grace as Nina. Earlier today it was announced that Jimmy Smits will play Nina's father, Kevin.

Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jimmy Smits is in talks to join the film adaptation of In the Heights, according to Collider. 

Telemundo announced the winners of the “Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs), which paid tribute to today's most prominent and iconic Latin artists, as voted by the fans in the tradition of the “American Music Awards,” the world's largest fan-voted award show. On a night filled with high energy performances and surprise collaborations from a diverse array of English and Latin music artists, Ozuna (3) and CNCO (3), were tied as the night's top winners. Produced by Telemundo and Somos Productions, the Latin AMAs opened with the fashionable and glamorous arrival of the stars on the red carpet at the iconic Hollywood Boulevard, as they made their way into the prestigious Dolby Theatre where the awards ceremony took place.
