This winter a five alarm fire will sizzle New York City, when Live Nation presents the highly anticipated New York City debut of the hard hitting theatrical concert BURLESQUE TO BROADWAY starring QUINN LEMLEY playing for four nights at the Gramercy Theatre on February 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2014.

Additional dates added for Jennylind Parris' New York City solo debut; A Woman of Character: A Tribute To The Incomparable Carol Burnett. These dates are Friday December 6th at 7:00p and Saturday December 21st at 4:00p at The Metropolitan Room . She is directed by multi-award winning director Gretchen Reinhagen and musically directed by multi-award winning musical director Tracy Stark. The production opens on Ms. Nyro's 66th birthday, tonight, October 18th, and runs for six performances beginning tonight, October 18 to Sunday, October 27, 2013, at The TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor in NYC.

Jetset Getset (JSGS) will return to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill in Cincinnati for a three-hour concert tonight, January 23. It will be the group's second appearance at Cincinnati's largest country-music nightclub, following their standing room-only album release concert in November. It will also mark the hometown debut of 13-year-old drumming sensation Gillian Bowman, who joined the teenage, Cincinnati-area band in December.

Louisville's oldest nightclub will welcome one of the youngest musical groups ever to play there, when Jetset Getset takes the stage at the historic Phoenix Hill Tavern tonight, January 17.

So many cabaret shows, so little time . . . to write reviews that is. During his almost two years as a cabaret reviewer, BroadwayWorld.com critic Stephen Hanks managed to do a pretty good job of writing critiques during a show's run or soon after the run ended. But this summer he just couldn't keep up. Finally, here are observations on 10 performances over the past two months.

Two actors, two chairs, one jacket. Physically, that's what is on stage right now at Manbites Dog Theater in Durham. Their current production of Daniel MacIvor's play In on It almost redefines minimalism, in a sense. It almost seems like those elements of the show (set, props, etc.) are stepping aside to let the work itself shine. And shine it most certainly does.
