The 36th Olivier Awards with MasterCard will offer a star-studded night of awards and exclusive entertainment at the Royal Opera House on Sunday 15 April hosted by West End stars Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. The Comedy of Errors in HD - Shakespeare's furiously paced comedy staged in a contemporary world into which walk three prohibited foreigners who see everything for the first time. Two sets of twins separated at birth collide in the same city without meeting for one crazy day, as multiple mistaken identities lead to confusion on a grand scale - and for no one more so than Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio who, in search of their brothers, arrive in a land entirely foreign to their distant home. To the outsiders, the buzzing metropolis appears a place of wonderment and terror where baffling gifts and unexplained hostilities abound. Consistently recognized by strangers, the visitors question their very selves as the turmoil escalates.

National Theatre Live continues its third season with Nicholas Wright's new play TRAVELLING LIGHT, directed by Nicholas Hytner. Following Vincent in Brixton and The Reporter, Wright's new play is a funny and fascinating tribute to the Eastern European immigrants who became major players in Hollywood's golden age. The award-winning Antony Sher returns to the National to play "Jacob". National Theatre Live is an initiative by the UK's National Theatre to broadcast live performances onto cinema screens around the world.

The National Theatre presents the third season of National Theatre Live (NT Live), a successful initiative to broadcast live performances from the National's stages to cinemas worldwide. In addition to the previously scheduled broadcasts of The Comedy of Errors (March 1), the season will include Travelling Light (February 9) and She Stoops to Conquer (March 29). Since its first season, which began in June 2009 with the acclaimed production of Phédre starring Helen Mirren, over half a million people have now experienced the National's acclaimed work on movie screens around the world. Paulo Szot, who has recently emerged as one of the most exciting voices in opera and who won a Tony for his performance as Emile de Becque in the Lincoln Center Theater (Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) production of SOUTH PACIFIC, will be recreating the role of the French plantation owner at the Barbican Centre in London, where the production will run for a limited season of 7 weeks only from 15 August to 1 October, with an opening night on 23 August.

Bringing the best of British theatre to cinemas across the U.S. this fall, NCM Fathom will present a series of four events from the stage of the National Theatre of Great Britain. National Theatre Live (NT Live) will launch its third season on NCM network screens with One Man, Two Guvnors on Thursday, October 20, followed by The Kitchen on Thursday, November 3; Collaborators on Thursday, December 1; and The Comedy of Errors on Thursday, March 1, with additional titles in 2012 to be announced soon.
