Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat Announces 3rd Season

Artistic Director Devanand Janki was recently honored by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society for the creation and ongoing leadership of the Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat. Janki and BCTR were lauded for their premiere of a new musical written and performed by actors of color which has garnered artistic praise and tangible commercial interest for future projects.

On Monday, June 19th at 7 P.M. & 9:30 P.M. at Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street), Tony Award-Winners James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton) & Lillias White (Fela!, Netflix's "The Get Down") with Eric LeJaun Summers (Kinky Boots, Motown), Lawrence Clayton (The Color Purple) and Charity Angel Dawson (Waitress) bring back the funk in the concert performances of The Funkentine Rapture, Music & Lyrics by Lee Summers, Book by Lee Summers and Ben Blake.

Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) has been added to the starry lineup for Lee Summers' Just A Piano Benefit Concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Monday, October 10, at 9pm at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street).

Tony Winner Lillias White to Celebrate 65th Birthday with Series of Concerts in July

?Tony Award-winner LILLIAS WHITE (Dreamgirls, Barnum, Chicago, The Life and Fela!) is set to return to The Triad (158 W. 72nd St.) on the Upper West Side for three special performances of "The Birthday Show" - celebrating White's 65th Birthday on Friday, July 22nd at 9PM, Saturday, July 23rd at 11PM and Sunday, July 24th at 7PM. Lillias White is also featured in 'The Get Down', the new Netflix series, executive produced by the legendary Baz Luhrmann (scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix on August 12th, 2016).

Back by popular demand, On Kentucky Avenue: A Celebration of Atlantic City's Historic Club Harlem returns to City College's performing arts center Aaron Davis Hall on Friday, February 19, for a three-day encore engagement. The show, which shines a red-hot spotlight on a little-known piece of Black history and a famed club that came out of the segregation era, is presented by the City College Center for the Arts (CCCA) and Byron and Sylvia Lewis. An audience favorite, last February, the production was created by Jeree Wade and directed and written by Adam Wade with Ty Stephens.
