Broken Box Mime will present the World Premiere of their newly devised physical theatre piece Take Shape at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street New York, NY 10019), April 1-May 1.

Maureen Towey wrote and directed In The 8th Year of the Emergency, a short film that stars Broadway stars including Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), Mary Beth Peil (The King & I, Anastasia), Linda Emond (Cabaret, Death of a Salesman, Life x 3), Jeffrey DeMunn (K2), and Emmy nominee Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us).

Broken Box Mime Theater has announced an additional performance of their newest show, ABOVE BELOW, which will play for one night only on Thursday, October 29, at Aaron Davis Hall (West 135th Street and Convent Avenue, 129 Convent Avenue), as part of the City College Center for the Arts fall season.

Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Broken Box Mime Theater has announced its newest show, ABOVE BELOW. Through movement and music, Broken Box Mime Theater performs a set of fresh original narratives that explore what is above, what is below, and how we find ourselves in the here and now. Inspired by place and perspective, and set to contemporary music mixed live by DJ Christopher Ross, ABOVE BELOW will begin performances at HERE Arts Center (145 6th Avenue) on October 2, 2015, and run through October 25, 2015. ReGroup opened SUCCESS STORY by John Howard Lawson, the 4th play ever performed by the Group Theatre at The Robert Moss Theatre, 440 Lafayette St on Wed March 6th. It will now play through the 24th of the month, and runs in rep with Lawson's farce LOUD SPEAKER. This is the first time these plays have been seen in generations. John Howard Lawson's Success Story opens tonight, March 6. Starring as the torn lovers are Leah Wagner and Allie Mulholland, roles originated by brother and sister acting legends Stella & Luther Adler.
