Scott Siegel's Broadway Ballyhoo, which features an entirely different show with different stars every week, starts the new year with a particularly noteworthy Broadway cast. The long-running musical revue series, which will return to the Laurie Beechman Theatre to begin its second year this Wednesday night, is delighted to present Broadway star JANA ROBBINS who appeared on Broadway in Gypsy and a slew of other shows. She now wears two hats; Broadway producer and musical theater star. She will be joined by another Broadway star who made her debut on the great white way as Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. Also in the cast, the highly regarded, award-winning jazz singer, Laurie Krauz, plus Broadway Rising Star, Justin Talkington who made such a strong impression the last time he performed at the Ballyhoo!

It's finally official. After more than a month of voting--following a month-long nomination process--approximately 7,000 voters have selected the winners of the BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards for 2013. Self-proclaimed cabaret “Diva” Ann Hampton Callaway and her Broadway baby sister Liz Callaway are either the principals or connected to four awards out of this year's 18 categories, including “Best Duo or Group Show” for the return after 18 years of their critically-acclaimed sister act Sibling Revelry, and “Best Tribute Show” to Ann for her exciting homage to Sarah Vaughan, From Sassy to Divine. Ann's musicians for her Sarah Vaughan show at Dizzy's Jazz Club at Lincoln Center took the Award for “Best Band or Orchestra,” and Alex Rybeck received the most votes as “Best Musical Director” for Sibling Revelry, which was staged in August at 54 Below.

Produced and created by Bobby Cronin, INSPIRED is a benefit concert series for animal rescue organizations across the country that will play every other month, with a rotating line-up of some of today's exciting musical theatre writers in a casual and intimate setting as they sit behind the piano and, unlike traditional concerts of their material, perform songs by other writers that have inspired their work. The INSPIRED series hopes to spread the word about the 2.7 million adoptable animals that are euthanized each year in America.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Travis Moser in This Can't Be Love: The Songs of Rodgers and Hart on Wednesday, January 8th at 7pm. This Can't Be Love: The Songs of Rodgers and Hart celebrates one of the most prolific and legendary songwriting duos of all time. Travis Moser takes the audience on a journey through the Rodgers and Hart songbook, while offering backstage and personal stories about the songs and the shows from which they came. This Can't Be Love features new arrangements of some of Rodgers and Hart's most beloved songs by musical director Steven Silverstein. Travis is excited to share the stage with special guest Samantha Shafer from Broadway's West Side Story, South Pacific, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and the upcoming Rocky. Selections include "This Can't Be Love," Nobody's Heart (Belongs to Me)," "Manhattan,' 'My Funny Valentine' and many more.
